The 2026 Far West Section Annual Meeting of the American Physical Society will be held on Oct. 16-18, 2026 at the Cal Poly campus in San Luis Obispo, hosted by the Cal Poly Physics Department. An interactive map of campus can be found here. Below is an image of the relevant part of campus.
The Friday Career Workshop will be held in room 286 in the Clyde P. Fisher Science Hall (Fisher Science, 33). Plenary sessions, poster sessions, meals, and the after-dinner talk will be in the Multi-Activity Center (MAC, 43-170). Parallel sessions will be held in the Baker Center for Science and Math (Baker, 180, 1st Floor). All three buildings are indicated as red circles/ovals below.
The black line indicates the footpath that connects the 1st-floor exit of the Baker Center to the MAC entrance we will be using. (Please note that the exit next to the Einstein statue is one of two 2nd-floor exits.)

Parking is free on Fridays after 5 PM, and all day Saturday and Sunday in the Grand Ave Parking Structure (130) [shown as a solid purple oval in the image]. General/staff spaces are typically no longer enforced for regular permits, though 24/7 restrictions (like red/fire lanes, disabled spaces, and residential areas) remain active. There should be ample parking there.
A backup option is Parking Structure 131 [shown as a dotted purple oval], but a daily parking permit needs to be purchased.
