Mandatory Meetings: To train a dog with the project for the upcoming season, you MUST ATTEND a mandatory orientation meeting. There are two meeting options. You only need to attend one.
1st Meeting: Tuesday, March 10th at 6:30 PM, at the extension office
2nd Meeting: Thursday, March 19th at 6:30 PM, at the extension office
The meetings will include a short overview of the handbook and training expectations, as well as collecting paperwork and registration fees. Board members will be there to answer questions and help with filling out forms. All enrolled dog project members will be receiving a dog project information packet in the mail. If you have not received one and you will be training a dog this summer, please contact the extension office.
Apparel: A new design was chosen for this year’s dog project apparel. Paper order forms and a link for online apparel orders will be available soon.
Winter Meeting: Thank you to everyone who attended our educational meeting at the end of January. We learned how Dogs2DogTags trains service dogs and how they are helping local veterans. The dog project board was able to present a donation of $100 to Dogs2DogTags during the meeting. We are so lucky to have a great organization working locally!
The next board meeting will be Monday, March 16th at 7 PM at the extension office.
