• Assisted in optical and mechanical design, optimized existing designs for manufacturing, and developed assembly procedures for actively and passively aligned systems ranging from deep UV to long-wave infrared. 

• Collaborated directly with customers and provided prototype and production cost estimates for engineering projects across defense, life science, medical, space, and semiconductor industries. 

• Developed a CNC glass grinding process, custom work holding solutions, and diamond tooling to shape optical materials into unconventional lens and mirror geometries. 

• Use advanced metrology equipment to validate optical system performance. Including interferometers, spectrophotometers, and in-house MTF and spot analysis software.

• Provided engineering support for new fixture design, legacy products, and process optimization for PCB and RF component production for various defense programs.
