Pocketr is a tax savings calculator app designed to help Indian taxpayers estimate their tax liability and optimize deductions under the Old and New tax regimes.
When you sign in using Google Sign-In, we collect:

Your display name
Your profile picture URL
To calculate your taxes, you may provide:
Annual salary/CTC details
Salary breakdown (Basic, HRA, Special Allowances, etc.)
City of residence (Metro/Non-Metro)
Deduction amounts under various sections (80C, 80D, etc.)
When you save tax reports, we store:
Calculated tax amounts
Selected tax regime
Deduction details
Report generation date
We use your information solely to:
Calculate your estimated tax liability
Compare Old vs New tax regimes
Generate and save tax reports for your reference
Provide personalized tax-saving recommendations
We do NOT:
Sell your data to third parties
Share your financial information with anyone
Use your data for advertising purposes
Access your actual bank accounts or tax filings
Your salary and report data is stored locally on your device using encrypted SQLite database. This data remains on your device and is not uploaded to external servers.
We use Google Firebase for:
Authentication: Secure sign-in via Google
Firestore: Storing tax rules and deduction limits (read-only, no personal data)
Crashlytics: Anonymous crash reports to improve app stability
Your personal financial data is stored locally on your device, not in the cloud.
Local Data: Remains on your device until you clear app data or uninstall
Account Data: Retained while you have an active account
You can delete all data: Use "Clear All Data" option in Profile settings
You have the right to:
Access: View all data stored in the app
Delete: Clear all your data using in-app settings
Opt-out: Sign out and uninstall the app at any time
Pocketr is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We use the following third-party services:
Google Sign-In: For authentication (Google Privacy Policy)
Firebase: For app infrastructure (Firebase Privacy)
Google Play Services: For in-app reviews
