America is struggling to overcome systemic racism and the racist ideals that have been driven into our society. In order to try and fight the injustices happening to BIPOC, AND the spread of COVID-19, we choose to wear masks as we protest.
I wear my mask out of respect for my health, my family's, and my community's, while I peacefully protest for justice and equality for all.
I love my family, my community, our country, and our world. Wearing a mask to help protect them is the least that I can do.
I'm from Giles County, Virginia and I figure it’s better to be safe than sorry!😂 Plus, I’m basically a nice person and I am protecting you as much as I am being protected! Sooo...I endure the sideway glances and snickers and opt for making sure you don’t catch my sneezes or coughs...be safe out there, friends!❤️
I've seen a few posts from skeptics asking "so Covid is over now?" or something similar, because people are out protesting. But, most people out protesting are masking up.
While it is always okay to be afraid, I don’t wear a mask because I’m “scared,” I wear a mask to keep you safe. So, even when I head out to march, I wear my mask and keep my distance from other protesters.
I wear a mask because I care about the health of my community.
I wear a mask because I care about you. I wear a mask because I care about our community. I wear a mask because African Americans are disproportionally affected by COVID-19. I wear a mask because while our numbers are low, we need increased testing. I wear a mask because it’s the responsible thing to do.
You probably can't tell but I'm smiling under my mask. I respect you, I respect myself, and I want to keep everyone as healthy as possible. That's why I wear a mask.
I live in Patrick County, Virginia and I wear a mask because I work retail and it's a mandate, but also because I have dear friends with children at risk, because so many of our community members are elderly and at risk, and because it's just the right thing to do. If I'm wrong to wear a mask, I wore a mask. If I'm right, I might have saved someone's mother, father or child.
I weat a mask because it protects you as well as me. I wear a mask because it lets our essential workers in stores know I’m concerned for their safety. I wear a mask because it’s the right thing to do.
I wear a facemask because I want to stop the spread of COVID 19. I want to protect others and my family, friends, and myself. A world renowned epidemiologist, wrote, "If 80% of people wore a mask 80% of the time, COVID would go away.”
I will wear mine!
Llevo una mascarilla porque me importa la humanidad. Somos hermanas y hermanos juntos frente a un enemigo viral. Todos debemos cuidarnos unos a otros. Paz y Amor.
I wear a mask because I care about you. I wear a mask because you are my sister or my brother. We are all one. Let’s take care of each other.
I wear a mask even though I've already had COVID-19. I have immunity, but I don't know for how long. And no one can tell me if I'm still able to carry it from person to person, even if I truly can't get it again.
But even if science could guarantee that I'm immune, that I will continue to be for some time, and that I can't transmit the disease any longer because of it, I would STILL wear a mask. Because it brings peace of mind to people around me.
The side effects of doing too much are miniscule compared to those of doing too little. I will wear a mask until the Virginia and the CDC both tell me I no longer have to.
I wear a mask in
Solidarity
With my home planet
Which is
Suffering
I wear a mask as the Danes
Wore safety pins on their lapels,
During WWII, which said
To Danish Jews,
“I am with you.”
But, mostly, I wear a mask
To protect others
& myself
from the
Possibility
Of contracting/spreading
COVID 19
I wear a mask because they work! They protect me from giving others the Covid 19 virus and vice versa. I choose to be part of the solution to save lives and prevent debilitating illness, while also working to shorten the pandemic's length.
