These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the QR Code Scanner & Generator app (the "App"), provided by APPTRIQ ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
The App has no account or sign-in of its own — it works fully offline and on-device. You must meet the minimum age required by the Google Play Store in your country to install apps, and to hold a Google account if you choose to purchase Premium. The App is not directed at children; see the Children section of our Privacy Policy.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, for personal or internal business use, subject to these Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service.
You agree not to:
use the App for any unlawful purpose, or to create codes that link to unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent content;
reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except to the extent permitted by law;
interfere with or disrupt the App or the infrastructure used to provide it (including Google Play Billing and advertising services).
The App offers an optional Premium subscription that unlocks additional features (custom QR design tools, unlimited history, high-resolution export) and removes ads.
The price, billing period, and any free-trial length are shown in the App before you purchase, are set in your local currency by Google Play, and are charged to your Google Play account.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal.
Manage or cancel anytime in Google Play → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Premium until the end of the period you already paid for.
If a free trial is offered and you cancel during it, you will not be charged; purchasing during or after the trial converts it to a paid subscription per the terms shown at purchase.
Refunds are handled by Google under the Google Play refund policy (https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637). We do not process payments directly and cannot issue refunds ourselves — please use Google Play's refund request flow.
The free (non-Premium) version of the App displays ads served by Google AdMob. On first launch you are shown a consent choice covering ad personalisation. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising data is handled. Premium subscribers do not see ads.
You are responsible for the data you encode into, or read from, codes using the App. We do not review, transmit, or store this content on any server of ours — it is processed on your device only.
The App, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by APPTRIQ and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that code detection or generation will always be accurate, error-free, or uninterrupted. You are responsible for verifying any code before relying on it — for example, before making a payment or connecting to a Wi-Fi network.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, APPTRIQ is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you.
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms. Because the App stores nothing about you on our servers, termination has no further effect beyond removing the App itself and, if applicable, your Play subscription (which you manage separately in Google Play).
We may update these Terms as the App changes. We'll update the "Effective" date above and, for significant changes, provide notice in the App or on the store listing. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
