APPTRIQ ("we", "us") built the QR Code Scanner & Generator app (the "App"). This policy explains what information the App handles and how. The App is designed so your data stays on your device — there is no account, and no server of ours stores your scans or codes.
The App has no account or sign-in. We don't ask for your name, email, or phone number.
We have no server that receives your scans, the codes you create, or your history. That data never leaves your device through the App.
We do not sell personal information.
The App uses your device camera only to detect QR codes and barcodes in the live camera view. Camera frames are analysed on-device with a bundled, offline library. Camera images are not saved by the App and are never uploaded.
If you pick an image from your device to scan, the App reads that single image locally to look for a code. It is not copied off your device by the App.
The App stores the following locally on your device so it can work:
Your scan history and the codes you generate, including anything marked as a favourite.
Your settings — language, theme, and scan feedback preferences.
This data stays on your device. You can delete it anytime from the History screen, and it's removed automatically if you uninstall the App.
The App offers an optional Premium subscription, purchased and billed entirely through Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details — Google provides us only with your entitlement status (whether Premium is active) so the App can unlock Premium features. Google's handling of the purchase is covered by the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
The free version of the App shows ads served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google's advertising SDK collects and processes information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, general device information, coarse location, and app interactions. On first launch (and any time you change it in the App), you are shown a consent choice that controls whether ads are personalised, in line with regional privacy rules.
You can learn more and manage ad personalisation here:

Premium subscribers do not see ads, and the advertising SDK is not asked to serve ads to them.
Camera — to scan QR codes and barcodes. The App still works for creating codes and scanning images without it.
Vibrate — a short buzz when a code is detected, if you enable scan feedback.
We share information only as needed for the services above: Google Play for purchases, and Google AdMob for advertising in the free version. We may disclose information if required by law.
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will address it.
Your history and settings are stored only on your device, so their security depends on your device's own protections (screen lock, encryption). Data sent to Google for purchases is transmitted over encrypted connections.
Clear your scan and generation history anytime from the History screen.
Deny or revoke the Camera permission in your device Settings.
Reset or limit your Advertising ID in your device Settings.
Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data.
Contact us to ask what, if anything, we hold about you — as described above, that's effectively nothing beyond your Play purchase status.
We may update this policy as the App changes. We'll update the "Effective" date above and, for significant changes, provide notice in the App or on the store listing.
