«In Sight» and "In View" apps

These apps display on the camera screen places nearby by using augmented reality. These apps need the following permissions for these reasons:

Location

We need to find your GPS location to show places nearby. We ask for the users permission to do this. We do not store or retrieve this information in any way.

Camera

We need to access your camera to show you places nearby with augmented reality. We ask for the users permission to do this. We do not retrieve this information in any way, except for storing pictures or video you take within the app to your photo library.

Photo library

We need access to your photo library to store pictures or video you take within the app. We ask for the users permission to do this. We mix augmented text of places nearby on the picture taken and store the picture on the device. We do not get access to or retrieve this information.

Internett and wifi access

The apps need internet or wifi access to share the picture or video taken by the app on social media and to show places nearby on the map. We ask for the users permission to do this. The user can decide within the app to send a picture or video taken by the app to other apps (like the e-mail app) and user action is required to allow this. We do not get access to or retrieve this information.

«Sun Finder» app

This app display on the camera screen the sun’s location by using augmented reality. The app need the following permissions for these reasons:

Location

We need to find your GPS location to compute the sun’s location. We ask for the users permission to do this. We do not store or retrieve this information in any way.

Camera

We need to access your camera to show you the sun’s location with augmented reality. We ask for the users permission to do this. We do not retrieve this information in any way, except for storing pictures or video you take within the app to your photo library.

Photo library

We need access to your photo library to store pictures or video you take within the app. We ask for the users permission to do this. We mix augmented text and graphics for the sun’s location on the picture taken and store the picture on the device. We do not get access to or retrieve this information.

Internett and wifi access

The app need internet or wifi access to set your location manually within the app by using a map. We ask for the users permission to do this. We do not get access to or retrieve this information.

«Here and there» apps

These apps display where you are or where you want to go with high resolution maps. These apps need the following permissions for these reasons:

Location

We need to find your GPS location to show you where you are on the map. We ask for the users permission to do this. We do not store or retrieve this information in any way.

Internett and wifi access

The apps need internet or wifi access to display high resolution maps from a server. We ask for the users permission to do this. We do not get access to or retrieve this information.

«Emergency Call» apps

These apps make you call the emergency services anywhere in the world. These apps need the following permissions for these reasons:

Location

We need to find your GPS location so you can send your position with SMS, e-mail or other form of social media. We ask for the users permission to do this. We do not store or retrieve this information in any way.

Contacts

We need access to you contact list so you can define a list of contacts within the app. These contacts are used when you want to make a phone call to them within the app, or when you want to send your position with SMS, e-mail or other form of social media. We ask for the users permission to do this. We only store this information inside the app bundle on the device.

Internett and wifi access

The apps need internet or wifi access to display where you are on a map. Internet access is also required to send your position with SMS, e-mail or other form of social media. We ask for the users permission to do this. We do not get access to or retrieve this information.

«EU Kontroll» apps

These apps checks when your car must be approved at the periodical vehicle inspection in Norway. These apps need the following permissions for these reasons:

Calendar

We need access to your calendar so you can add an appointment for when your car needs to be inspected and approved. We ask for the users permission to do this. We do not get access to or retrieve this information.

Internett and wifi access

The apps need internet or wifi access to check the cars registration number from the server of the Public Roads Administration (Statens Vegvesen).

«Check Car Owner» and «Sjekk bileier» app

This app checks the financial status of a vehicle registered in Norway. The app need the following permissions for these reasons:

Contacts

We need access to your contact list so you can store information about a car owner to a new or existing contact. We ask for the users permission to do this. We do not get access to or retrieve this information.

Internett and wifi access

The app need internet or wifi access to check the cars registration number from the server of the Public Roads Administration (Statens Vegvesen). The apps also need internet or wifi access to display the car owners location on a map. We ask for the users permission to do this. We do not get access to or retrieve this information.

«Wiki GO» app

The app displays articles about places nearby. The app need the following permissions for these reasons:

Location

We need to find your GPS location so you can see Wikipedia articles nearby. We ask for the users permission to do this. We do not store or retrieve this information in any way.

Internett and wifi access

The app need internet or wifi access to access the Wikipedia server. The app also need internet access to show locations on a map and share an article on social media. We ask for the users permission to do this. We do not get access to or retrieve this information.

«Webcams» app

The app displays webcams nearby. The app need the following permissions for these reasons:

We need to find your GPS location so you can see webcams nearby. We ask for the users permission to do this. We do not store or retrieve this information in any way.

Internett and wifi access

The app need internet or wifi access to access the webcam servers of the Public Roads Administration of Norway (Statens Vegvesen) and from windy.com. The app also need internet access to show locations on a map and share a webcam on social media. We ask for the users permission to do this. We do not get access to or retrieve this information.

«Workout» app

This app plays music from your music library in intervals you define. The app need the following permissions for these reasons:

The app needs access to your music library to make a list of songs to play within the app. We ask for the users permission to do this. We do not get access to or retrieve this information.

«Eat Safer» app

This app provide and overview of foods and beverages that due to healthy or suspected health hazards are withdrawn from the Norwegian market. The app need the following permissions for these reasons:

Internett and wifi access

The app need internet or wifi access to get information from the server of the Norwegian Food Safety Authority (Mattilsynet).

Notifications and alerts

The app sends notifications when new information about products that are taken out of the market is available. The user is asked to allow notifications.

Background App Refresh

To get notifications of new products that are taken out of the market, the user must allow the application to check for updates in the background. The use is asked to allow this.

«Wax Thermometer and Smøretermometer» apps

These apps figure out what kind of wax you need on your cross country skis. These apps need the following permissions for these reasons:

Location

We need to find your GPS location to compute the current outside temperature. We ask for the users permission to do this. We do not store or retrieve this information in any way.

Internett and wifi access

The apps need internet or wifi access to compute the current outside temperature from the server of the Norwegian Meteorological Institute of Norway based on the current GPS location. Internet access is also required to share the suggested wax of the day with SMS, e-mail or other form of social media. We ask for the users permission to do this. We do not get access to or retrieve this information.
