Effective date: September 10, 2026
This Temporary Privacy Policy applies to Photo Recovery: File Restore
(Android package name: com.fileecho.recovery).
Photo Recovery: File Restore is provided by HAIR BY AMBERLIE LLC
(“we”, “us”, or “our”).
This policy explains the permissions used by the app, the information that may be processed, the role of third-party services, and the choices available to users.
1. PURPOSE OF THE APP AND SCOPE OF THIS POLICY
This policy applies when you install, open, or use Photo Recovery: File Restore.
Some functions may vary by app version, Android version, device model, and features enabled by you. Permissions are requested only when they are needed for available functions.
2. ANDROID PERMISSIONS
Phone State
The READ_PHONE_STATE permission may be used to recognize incoming calls and activate flashlight alerts. The app does not save call recordings, call content, or call-history information.
Installed Applications
The QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission may be used to identify compatible calling and messaging apps so that alert-related functions can work correctly. The app does not collect or disclose information about other installed applications for unrelated purposes.
Notification Access
The BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE permission may be used for notification-based flashlight alerts.
In versions that include Deleted-Message Recovery, notification access may also be used to identify notifications from supported messaging apps. When you enable this function, the app processes only the notification information that Android exposes to the app.
The app cannot access encrypted chat content, bypass end-to-end encryption, or read private message databases. You can withdraw notification access at any time through Android system settings.
File and Media Access
Recovery features may require access to files stored on your device.
On Android 5.1 through Android 10, storage access may be used to scan local files and save files that you choose to restore.
On Android 11 and later, the app may request MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE or media permissions, including READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, and READ_MEDIA_AUDIO, when you use recovery features. These permissions allow the app to search locally stored media and save selected recovered items back to the device.
The app does not automatically delete, overwrite, or modify your local photos, videos, audio files, or other media. Recovered files are not automatically sent to our servers.
Location Access
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION and ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION may be used only for the optional location-sharing functions described in this policy. You control whether location sharing is activated.
3. INFORMATION THAT MAY BE PROCESSED
Technical and Usage Information
To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the app, we may process technical information such as:
• Device model and device type
• Android version
• System language
• Time zone
• Carrier country or carrier name
• Browser type, where relevant
• App version and build number
• SDK names and versions
• Basic interaction events, such as taps or feature usage
• Runtime logs and technical diagnostics
• Device identifiers, including Android ID
Device identifiers may be used for session management, security checks, fraud prevention, analytics, and identifying unusual or suspicious activity.
Information You Provide
If a version of the app provides profile or friend-code functions, the app may use your user name and phone number to create a profile, verify a friend connection, or support contact-related features.
Your phone number is not publicly visible without your consent.
If you contact us for support, we receive the email address and message content you send. This information is used to respond to your request.
Deleted-Message Recovery Information
For versions that provide the optional Deleted-Message Recovery feature, the app may process notification content locally on your device. This may include:
• The app package that sent the notification
• The sender name displayed in the notification
• Message text or preview text
• Notification timestamps
This processing is intended to identify notification messages that were later deleted and to show a recovered preview.
If you choose to save recovered media, the saved copy is stored locally on your device. Recovered notifications and recovered media are not uploaded to our servers.
4. OPTIONAL LOCATION-SHARING FEATURES
Location sharing does not begin merely because the app is installed.
To activate mutual location sharing, both users must exchange a valid friend code or QR code and each user must independently enable “Allow tracking this device.”
Once both conditions are met, location data may be used for:
• Real-time mutual location sharing
• Safe-zone alerts
• Nearby-place discovery
You may disable “Allow tracking this device” from the Profile area at any time. When this setting is turned off, the app stops collecting and transmitting location data for this feature.
The normal connection process is:
1. You generate a friend code or QR code in your Profile.
2. A trusted person enters or scans that code through the Add Friend feature.
3. Both users separately enable location sharing.
4. Mutual real-time location visibility begins only after both users have enabled it.
5. ADVERTISING, ANALYTICS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS
We may use third-party services to provide advertising, measure advertising performance, understand app usage, identify crashes, maintain services, and improve reliability.
Depending on the relevant service and your device settings, these providers may receive limited information such as device identifiers, app-list signals, network status, device model, runtime information, crash reports, or usage data.
Third-party services may include:
• Google Play Services
• AdMob
• Google Analytics for Firebase
• Firebase Crashlytics
• Mintegral
• Meta SDK (Facebook)
• Pangle
• Unity Ads
• AppLovin
• Advertising mediation services
AdMob may receive device identifiers, including Android ID, for advertising delivery and measurement.
Google Analytics for Firebase may receive information such as app-list signals, network status, device model, runtime logs, and identifiers to help analyze performance and usage.
Firebase Crashlytics may process technical crash information to help identify and fix errors.
These service providers operate under their own privacy terms. They may use cookies or similar technologies as part of their services. You can limit personalized advertising through your Android device’s Ads Personalization settings.
We do not sell personally identifiable information to advertisers.
6. DIAGNOSTIC DATA AND COOKIES
If the app encounters an error, third-party diagnostic tools may collect technical details needed to investigate the issue. Such details may include:
• IP address
• Device name
• Operating-system version
• App configuration at the time of the error
• Date and time of use
• Other technical statistics
The app itself does not directly place cookies. However, third-party SDKs may use cookies or similar technologies. Limiting these technologies through device or app settings may affect some functions.
Third-party providers may assist us with operating the app, delivering service-related functions, analyzing usage, maintaining performance, and resolving technical issues. They may access personal information only when needed for those tasks and may not use or disclose it for unrelated purposes.
7. YOUR CONTROLS AND RIGHTS
You may withdraw permission at any time.
For example, you can:
• Turn off “Allow tracking this device” to stop location-sharing processing
• Revoke notification access to stop Deleted-Message Recovery processing
• Change app permissions through Android system settings
• Limit personalized ads through Ads Personalization settings
You may contact us to ask about information that we process or to request correction of information that you have provided.
Except for support emails you send to us, recovery data and cached information are generally stored locally on your device. You can remove locally stored app information by clearing app cache or app storage through Android settings.
8. SECURITY
We use reasonable organizational and technical measures to protect information processed through the app.
No system connected to the internet can be guaranteed to be fully secure. You should use caution when deciding to provide sensitive information through the app or through support communications.
9. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Photo Recovery: File Restore is not designed for children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided personal information without required consent, please contact us. We will take appropriate steps to remove the information.
10. CALIFORNIA DISCLOSURES
We do not sell personal information for commercial purposes.
Some advertising or analytics technologies used by third-party providers may be treated as a “sale” under certain California privacy rules. You may limit interest-based advertising and related data use through your device’s Ads Personalization settings.
The app does not track your browsing activity across unrelated third-party websites. Third-party SDKs and websites may have their own tracking practices, which you may limit through browser or device settings.
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may revise this policy when the app, available features, third-party services, or applicable requirements change.
The latest version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Where appropriate, we may also notify users in the app or by email.
