ApplyPath Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the ApplyPath Android application handles information when you track job applications, manage documents and reminders, and prepare for interviews. For support or privacy questions, contact the ApplyPath developer at alkautsar.efendi@gmail.com.

1. Information stored on your device

ApplyPath stores the information you enter or import in private application storage on your device. This may include company names, job roles, application status and history, salary notes, recruiter contact details, personal notes, reminder schedules, CV and other document copies, interview preparation content, and practice evaluations. Language preferences and other application settings are also stored locally.

This information is used to provide the application's tracking, preparation, reminder, document management, and reporting features. ApplyPath does not provide user accounts, cloud synchronization, or a developer-operated server for these application records. The app does not intentionally send the contents of your CV, job notes, or voice recordings to advertising services.

2. Optional microphone and reminder permissions

If you choose to record interview practice, ApplyPath requests microphone permission. Recordings are stored temporarily on your device for local playback and are not uploaded by the app. Recording stops when the activity is paused. Temporary audio is deleted during normal practice-screen cleanup; files left after an interrupted process are cleaned at the next app startup. Recordings are excluded from ApplyPath backups.

You may decline or revoke microphone permission in Android settings. Core tracking features remain available without recording.

Notification and alarm permissions support reminders you create. Delivery depends on Android permissions, battery restrictions, device settings, and system behavior. You can manage notification permissions in Android settings and edit or disable reminders in the app.

3. Advertising and consent

ApplyPath uses Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) to display banner, interstitial, and optional rewarded ads, and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage applicable privacy messages and choices.

Google's advertising services collect or process IP addresses, device or account identifiers, ad and product interactions, and diagnostic information. An IP address can be used to estimate general location. These services use information for advertising, measurement, analytics, service operation, and fraud prevention. UMP also processes information associated with privacy choices.

Ad requests depend on UMP eligibility and the applicable configuration. Where required, you can revisit choices through Privacy options in ApplyPath Settings. Non-personalized ads may still involve data processing. Rewarded ads are optional and are not required for core tracking features. ApplyPath does not include a separate analytics service.

For Google's practices and controls, see Google Privacy Policy, How Google uses information from apps that use its services, and Google advertising technologies.

4. Documents, exports, and external services

ApplyPath accesses documents you select through Android's file picker and copies imported documents into private application storage. Opening a document gives the selected viewer permission to read that document.

You can export reports and backups as CSV, PDF, or ZIP files. Exports may contain sensitive job-search information and document copies. They are not encrypted by ApplyPath and are saved to the location or provider you choose, including cloud storage if selected. Sharing or uploading an exported file is under your control and subject to the receiving service's privacy practices.

Links to job listings and other websites open in external applications. Those websites, document viewers, and storage providers operate under their own policies. ApplyPath cannot remove copies held by them.

5. Support communications

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, attachments, and any information you choose to provide. We use this information to respond, troubleshoot issues, and handle privacy requests. Email is handled through our email provider.

Do not send passwords, signing keys, or unnecessary personal CV or recruiter information. We do not have remote access to your private application records and cannot recover them from a developer-operated backup.

6. Retention and deletion

Local records and imported documents remain on your device until you remove them or clear the application's storage. You can delete records in ApplyPath; document versions must be unlinked from applications before deletion. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes private application data. Temporary recording cleanup is described above.

Exported reports and backups remain wherever you saved or shared them. Delete these separately, including copies in a provider's recycle bin or cloud backup where applicable.

Support communications are retained as needed to resolve the request and maintain relevant support or security records, and longer where required by applicable obligations. You can request their deletion by emailing us. Advertising and consent information held by Google follows Google's retention and deletion practices and available controls; deleting ApplyPath does not automatically delete information held independently by Google.

7. Security

ApplyPath uses Android private application storage and restricts document access to user-selected actions. Automatic Android backup of private app data is disabled in the application configuration. Protection also depends on your device's security, operating system, and the providers you select.

No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your device and exported files, and avoid sharing backups publicly. ApplyPath does not add encryption to exported files.

8. Your choices and requests

You can edit or delete local information, control permissions in Android settings, choose whether to record audio or watch rewarded ads, and use available advertising privacy controls. Depending on your location, applicable law may provide additional rights concerning information held about you. Contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion, or other privacy requests related to information we hold.

Requests concerning information held independently by Google or another provider should also be directed to that provider using its published controls and contact channels.

9. Children

ApplyPath is a job-search and interview preparation tool and is not designed for children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to our support address, contact us so we can review and address the request. Local information can be removed using the deletion controls described above.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the application or its information-handling practices change. The current version will be made available with an updated date. Where required, material changes will be communicated or consent requested through the appropriate application or platform flow.
