General Employment Requirements

Each employer and position will have individual duties and requirements. The requirements below are the minimum requirements employees must meet for any position. Additional requirements and responsibilities will be discussed with the employer if they choose to move forward with an interview.

Minimum Eighteen (18) years old with a high school diploma or GED

Communicate effectively with a participant and the participant's family

Read, understand, and implement written and oral instructions

Perform required documentation using technology platforms (phone, computer, tablet)

Participate as a member of the participant's person-centered team as requested by the participant

Demonstrates competence and knowledge on topics required to safely support the participant as described in the participant's person-centered service plan

Completes a tuberculosis (TB) risk assessment performed by a licensed medical professional

Must complete AOC Criminal Background Check, Kentucky Caregiver Misconduct Screening, Nurse Aide Registry Check, Central Registry Check and others as requested

Negative results of drug testing for illicit or prohibited drugs

Complete free web-based College of Direct Support training and provide transcripts verifying successful completion of training objectives with scores of eighty-five (85) percent or higher within 6 month of hire

First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification by a nationally-accredited entity within 6 months of hire

Must possess basic computer skills, intermediate computer skills preferred
