This Privacy Policy applies to the App Lock Fingerprint Applock (hereby referred to as the "Application") for mobile devices that was developed by Mizcolz Studio (hereinafter referred to as the "Service Provider") as a service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information in compliance with Google Play policies and global data protection laws, including GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), LGPD (Brazil), VCDPA (Virginia), CDPA (Connecticut), and UCPA (Utah).

1. Information We Collect and Use

We may collect and process the following types of data:

a) Crash Logs

• We collect crash logs to diagnose errors, improve performance, and enhance user experience.

• These logs may include data such as device state at the time of the crash, operating system version, & device model.
  
  

b) Diagnostics Data

• We may collect information about the performance of the app on your device, such as loading time, crashes, and technical diagnostics. This information is used only to improve app stability and performance.

c) Device Information

• Device model, manufacturer, operating system version.

• IP address and device identifiers (for troubleshooting and analytics).
  
  

d) Media Files

• Our app may access photos, videos, and audio/voice recordings (with permission) to lock and secure your media files. 

• All media remains stored locally on your device and is never uploaded, shared, or sold. 

• This access is required only for providing the app lock functionality.

e) Advertising ID

• We use the Google Advertising ID (Ad ID) for ads, analytics, and fraud prevention. 

• This ID is not linked to your personal identity and can be reset in device settings.

f) Usage Data

• Pages/screens visited, time spent in the app, and interaction patterns.

• This information is collected to analyze trends and improve app functionality.

• For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information that the Service Provider requests will be retained by them and used as described in this privacy policy.
  
  We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our application.

2- No Collection of Personal Information

We do not collect personally identifiable information such as:

• Your name

• Email address

• Phone number

• Precise location

3- How We Use Information

• Monitor and improve app performance and stability.

• Troubleshoot technical issues.

• Analyze usage patterns to enhance user experience.

• Ensure compatibility across different devices and OS versions.

4- Data Retention Policy:

The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you'd like them to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please contact them at developer@mizcolzstudio.com  and they will respond in a reasonable time.

5- Third-Party Services

The Application uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. Please review the privacy policies of these third-party service providers:

6- How to Request Data Deletion from Third-Party Services

• Firebase Crashlytics: No direct user data is collected, only crash logs.

7- Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

8- Right to Opt-Out of Data Sale and Targeted Advertising

We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about how we handle your personal data. Under applicable data protection laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other privacy regulations, you have the right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising.

9- How to Opt-Out of Targeted Advertising

Although we do not sell your personal data, we may share certain information for the purpose of serving personalized ads. You can opt-out of this data sharing at any time by managing your advertising preferences through the following options:

On Android Devices

Go to Settings > Google > Ads

Toggle Opt-out of Ads Personalization.

These settings will limit the sharing of your data for targeted advertising purposes. However, please note that opting-out may not stop ads from being shown to you; it will simply make those ads less relevant to your interests.

10- Right to Know About Data Sharing

You have the right to know if your personal data is being shared with third-party service providers or other entities. We share data only with third-party service providers that assist us in providing services, such as analytics or advertising. 11- Legal Basis for Processing

We rely on several legal bases for processing your personal data, depending on the circumstances and the applicable data protection laws. These include:

• Consent: We process personal data where you have provided explicit consent, such as agreeing to personalized ads or location-based services. You can withdraw your consent at any time by adjusting your settings or contacting us.

• Contractual Necessity: Some data is processed to fulfill our contractual obligations to provide services through our apps, such as ensuring app functionality and performance.

• Legitimate Interests: We process your data based on our legitimate interests to improve the app experience, ensure security, detect fraud, and enhance services, provided these interests are not overridden by your data protection rights.

• Legal Obligation: In certain cases, we process your data to comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

12- App Permissions

We need the following permission to operate some features of our applications:

• PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS  (Android 5.0 and Above) – Access app usage statistics (required for app lock functions).

• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED – Run app services after reboot.

• SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW / ACTION_MANAGE_OVERLAY_PERMISSION( Android 6.0 ) – Display overlays (used for lock screen and intruder alerts).

• WAKE_LOCK – Keep CPU/screen active while the app is running.

• READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE  (Android 4.1 to 10) – Access and store media files (photos, videos, and audio/voice recordings). Used only for locking and securing media. These files stay on your device and are never uploaded or shared.

• CAMERA (Android 1.0 and Above) – Used only for the Intruder Selfie feature.

• REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS – Maintain background services for security.

• USE_FINGERPRINT – Enable fingerprint authentication.

• REORDER_TASKS – Manage app tasks for lock/unlock functionality.

• QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES (Android 11 and Above) – This permission is required solely to list and lock installed applications. We do not collect, transmit, or share app inventory data for any other purpose.

• BROADCAST_PACKAGE_REMOVED – Detects when apps are uninstalled.

• Diagnostics Data – Collected automatically (via third-party SDKs such as analytics or crash reporting) to monitor app performance and fix issues.

• Google Play Billing – Handle in-app purchases securely. 

We request only the minimum necessary permissions and do not misuse them for unrelated purposes.

13- Right to Lodge a Complaint

If you believe that we have processed your personal data in a manner that is not in compliance with applicable data protection laws, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. This may include, but is not limited to, your local data protection authority or a relevant authority where you reside. 14- Right to Know About Data Sales

We understand the importance of transparency when it comes to your personal information. Under applicable privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and similar regulations, users have the right to know if their personal data is being sold. However, we do not sell any personal data. Your personal information is never shared with third parties for profit or sold for any commercial purposes. We only collect, store, and process data for the purposes outlined in this privacy policy, such as providing services, improving our offerings, and ensuring the security of our systems.

15- Right to Rectification

You have the right to request the correction of any personal data we hold about you that is inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. If you believe that the information we have is incorrect, you can contact us at support@mizcolzstudio.com , and we will promptly update or correct your data in accordance with applicable data protection laws (including GDPR, CCPA, and LGPD).

16- User Rights – Access to Personal Data

In accordance with applicable data protection laws (such as GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to request access to the personal data that we collect and process about you. This means you can ask us to confirm whether we hold your personal information and request a copy of that data.

17- In-App Purchases

Our app offers in-app purchases to unlock premium features, remove ads, or access advanced tools.

• What We Collect: Payment details are processed securely via the Google app store (e.g., Google Play). We do not store or access your payment information (e.g., credit card details).

• Purpose: Unlock premium features, remove ads, or enhance functionality.

• Third-Party Payment Processing: Transactions are managed by trusted platforms like Google Play, which process payments per their privacy policies.

• User Rights: Manage or cancel subscriptions via your app store account. Refunds are subject to Google Play’s policies. 

18- Children Privacy:

This app is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country, which may be up to 16 under GDPR). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover that a child has provided personal information, we will delete it immediately. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided data may contact us at support@mizcolzstudio.com . 

19- Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

20- Data Protection Officer (DPO)

Mizcolz Studio also serves as the Data Protection Officer (DPO). 

GDPR Compliance Note

Our applications are available globally, including in the European Union (EU). While Mizcolz Studio is based outside the EU and has not yet appointed a formal EU Representative under Article 27 of the GDPR, we ensure that all GDPR-related requests from EU users are handled directly by our DPO.
