Welcome to myDBear! Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”, “Terms of Service”) carefully before using the myDBear mobile application (the “Service”, “App”).

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using myDBear, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Use of the Service

myDBear is provided for personal and non-commercial use only.

You agree not to misuse the Service or attempt to access it using a method other than the interface and instructions we provide.

3. User Data and Privacy

myDBear may store your data locally on your device.

For details on how your data is collected, used, and protected, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

4. Google Services

myDBear uses Google APIs for backup and restore functionality. By using these features, you agree to comply with Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features of myDBear may require a paid subscription. All payments and subscriptions are handled through the Google Play Store under its terms and conditions.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App are the exclusive property of the developer and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and will not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting the updated Terms within the App or on our website.

Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
   The myDBear application (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “the application”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use the application.

2. Data Collection and Use
   • All entries, settings, and files you create in myDBear are stored locally on your device by default.
   • The application does not request or store sensitive personal information such as your name, address, or contact details.
   • Subscription validation (if applicable) is performed securely via Google Play Billing; only the minimum data required by Google APIs is transmitted.
   • We use Firebase Crashlytics to detect and fix crashes. Crash reports may include anonymised device information (e.g., device model, OS version) and stack traces, but never the content of your database.
   • We use Firebase Analytics to collect aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics (e.g., screen views, session duration) to improve the app.
   • Your data is never sold or shared with advertisers or other third parties.

3. Data Security
   • Local data are stored in the Android sandbox, protected by your device’s security mechanisms.
   • Network communication with Firebase and Google Play services is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS).

• The App complies with Google Play’s Families Policy.

4. User Rights and Choices
   • You may refuse any permission request (storage, network). Certain functions may be unavailable without the required permission.
