The Appleby Sheild's new format
For the past two seasons the Appleby Sheild has been a once a season match between Appleby FC and Appleby United but this season Appleby City has been introduced to the world. With only three teams in Appleby we have decided that next season we will be introducing the Appleby Natinal League, this will be a friendly championship where the champion will be playing in the next seaons Appleby Sheild Semi Finals against either Appleby FC, Appleby United or Appleby City in a two leged game. If Appleby FC and Appleby United get drawn together one game will be played at Appleby Park and the other at the Appleby Arena but if one game ends 1-0 to the away team and the next game ends 1-0 to the away team a play off will be played. If at the end of the 90 in any game it is a draw it will go to extra time and/or pens. What ever team wins 1 goal will be added to the aggragate score. For exsample if FC and United are playing and it ends 0-0 in the second leg but its 1-0 to FC on away goals and the second leg is at Appleby Park United have a chance to take the game to a replay. This season however we are going to have FC go strait to the final due to the fact they won it last season so United and City will play in the semi finals.
