Try to reset your fusion drive that should Solve your trouble with downgrading to mac mojave. Procedure can be found on apple website or this simple command will do Diskutil resetfusion This will wipe all yout data as well so make sure you are ready to lose everything... Cheers!

The trackpad has not worked after an installation of Mojave that I had to interrupt because it was taking way too long in one of the booting or preparing phases that has an apple logo and a progress bar.
