Dear Families,
Happy New Year! January is an incredibly important month at APPA. The 1st semester ends mid-month and you can expect your student's second marking period report card before the month ends. Many high school students are taking Regents exams this month to support their on-time graduation. Meanwhile, all middle school students will take a practice state exam in January in preparation for the real ones this spring.
This month's newsletter lists all the important dates, updates, and other information you may need. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us here at the school with any questions or concerns.

Queridas familias,
¡Feliz año nuevo! Enero es un mes increíblemente importante en APPA. El primer semestre termina a mitad de mes y puede esperar la boleta de calificaciones del segundo período de calificaciones de su estudiante antes de que termine el mes. Muchos estudiantes de secundaria tomarán los exámenes Regents este mes para respaldar su graduación a tiempo. Mientras tanto, todos los estudiantes de secundaria tomarán un examen estatal de práctica en enero como preparación para los exámenes reales de esta primavera.

Parent Portal
Please be sure to click here to register for the city's new Parent Portal. You will need your student's OSIS number to register. If you have any issues, please reach out to our Parent Coordinator, Ms. Williams, here at the school
Parent Association Meeting
The next meeting of the parent association is scheduled for January 17th. The meeting is virtual -- all parents will receive a link before the event. Come join us!
