Dear Families,
I love this time of year as I feel it is when the best learning happens. Soon students will be distracted by summer's approach, but for now it is when we get the best learning done.
If you are a Middle school family, this month marks the academic high point of the year. All students will be sitting for the ELA state test April 8th and 9th and the Math tests in May. Make sure your student is well-rested and ready to do their best! The best way to prepare is to come to Saturday school every week at 9 am!
In high school, students end the 3rd marking period this month and take quarterly assessments. All students set goals last month for the second half of the year -- these tests are a great time to check in to see if they are on track!

Queridas familias,
Me encanta esta época del año porque siento que es cuando ocurre el mejor aprendizaje. Pronto los estudiantes se distraerán con la llegada del verano, pero por ahora es cuando mejor aprendemos.
Si son una familia de escuela secundaria, este mes marca el punto más alto académico del año. Todos los estudiantes tomarán el examen estatal de ELA el 8 y 9 de abril y los exámenes de matemáticas en mayo. ¡Asegúrese de que su estudiante esté bien descansado y listo para hacer lo mejor que pueda! ¡La mejor manera de prepararse es venir a la escuela los sábados todas las semanas a las 9 am!
En la escuela secundaria, los estudiantes finalizan el tercer período de calificaciones este mes y toman evaluaciones trimestrales. Todos los estudiantes establecieron metas el mes pasado para la segunda mitad del año. ¡Estas pruebas son un buen momento para comprobar si van por buen camino!

- Every Student should try to be be here every day! While everyone gets sick once in a while, if your student missed more that 18 days of school he/she is considered chronically absent.
All students with attendance above 90% for the month earn a reward! Be part of the celebration!

Middle School Saturday School
Saturday school for all middle school students starts this Saturday, March 8th. All Middle school students are encouraged to attend each week from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm to prepare for the upcoming state tests. Lunch will be provided each week -- no uniform required.
