App Search: Quick App Finder
Developer: PransuInc
Effective date: October 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how App Search: Quick App Finder ("the app", "we", "us") handles information when you use it on your Android device. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.
Overview
App Search is a quick search tool for the apps, contacts and shortcuts on your phone. Search runs entirely on your device: your app list, contacts and search text are never uploaded to our servers. The app has no account or sign-in and does not use your location. To keep the app free and improve it, we use a few Google services (Firebase and AdMob) that collect limited technical and usage data, as described below.
Information processed only on your device
• Installed apps: the app reads the names and icons of the apps you can launch so it can search them. This list is stored in a local database on your device and is never sent to us.
• Contacts (optional): contact search is off until you turn it on in Settings and grant the Contacts permission. Contact names and numbers are read on your device to show results and are never uploaded, stored on a server, or shared. If you choose a call, message or WhatsApp action, the app passes that number to the app you picked.
• Search text and calculator: what you type is processed on your device. If you choose a web search, your query is sent only to the search provider you select (for example Google, DuckDuckGo, Bing, Google Play or YouTube), under that provider's privacy policy.
• Settings and preferences: your theme, shortcuts and other settings are saved only on your device.
Information collected automatically
The app uses the following third-party services, which may collect information automatically:
• Firebase Analytics (Google): records how the app is used, such as screens opened, notification permission choices, taps on suggested apps and ad revenue events, together with device information (model, Android version, language, country) and an app-instance identifier. We use this to understand usage and improve the app.
• Firebase Crashlytics (Google): when the app crashes, it sends a crash report with technical details (stack trace, device model, Android version, app version) so we can fix bugs.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging, In-App Messaging and Remote Config (Google): use a device token to deliver notifications and in-app messages (such as app suggestions) and to update app settings remotely.
• Google AdMob: shows ads in the app. AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, and information about ad interactions to show, measure and (where you consent) personalize ads.
• "More apps" list: the app downloads a list of our other apps from our server (hosted on Cloudflare). This is a standard web request; no personal information is sent, though the server, like any server, receives your IP address.
• Google Play: in-app updates and in-app reviews are handled by Google Play under Google's privacy policy.
Permissions and why we ask for them
• Internet: to load ads, the "More apps" list, notifications and analytics.
• Read contacts (optional): only to search your contacts on your device, after you turn on contact search.
• Post notifications (optional, Android 13+): to show app suggestions and other notifications. You can deny or turn this off at any time.
• Request delete packages: only to open the system uninstall screen when you choose "Uninstall" from an app's menu. The app cannot uninstall anything without your confirmation.

Advertising and your choices
• Consent: where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland), the app asks for your consent before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time from Settings › Privacy options.
• Advertising ID: you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalization, in your device's Settings › Google › Ads (or Settings › Privacy › Ads).
• Notifications: you can turn off "Weekly app suggestions" in the app's Settings, or turn off all notifications for the app in your device settings.
• Contacts: you can turn off contact search in the app's Settings or revoke the Contacts permission in your device settings at any time.
Sharing and sale of data
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your contacts, app list or search text with anyone. Data collected by the services listed above is processed by those providers (Google and Cloudflare) on our behalf to provide analytics, crash reporting, notifications and ads.
Data retention and deletion
Data stored on your device (app index, settings and contact search results) is deleted when you clear the app's data or uninstall the app. Analytics and crash data are kept by Google for a limited period according to Firebase's retention settings. To ask us to delete analytics data associated with your device, email us at pransuinc@gmail.com.
Security
Data sent by the app and by the services above travels over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we handle.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. Information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, by the service providers listed above.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
