Terms of Use
App Lock for Android (package com.jamshid.applock)
Effective date: October 7, 2026
Important: we cannot recover a forgotten PIN or hidden files. If you uninstall App Lock, clear
its data or lose your device, hidden files are gone for good. Keep your own backups of anything important.
These terms apply to your use of the App Lock app and App Lock Premium ("the app"), published by
Jamshid M ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to these terms and to our
Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. License
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Android devices
you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, in line with these terms and the Google Play Terms of
Service. You may not copy, modify, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, except where the law
expressly allows it.
2. Using the app responsibly
- Use the app only on devices you own or are authorized to manage.
- Intruder mode takes photos of people who try to unlock your device. You are responsible for using it in line with the laws where you live, including any rules on photographing or recording other people.
- Do not use the app to hide illegal content, to monitor or control another person without their consent, or for any unlawful purpose.
- Guest mode limits which apps someone can use while you lend them your phone. It does not replace supervision, parental controls or your device's own security.
3. Your PIN and your data
Your PIN, fake PIN, hidden files and intruder records are stored only on your device, and hidden files are
encrypted with a key that never leaves it. As a result:
- we cannot reset or recover a forgotten PIN;
- we cannot recover hidden files after you uninstall the app, clear its data, reset or lose your device, or if the device's encryption key becomes unavailable;
- hidden files are not included in Android backups.
You are responsible for remembering your PIN and for keeping separate backups of any files that matter to you.
4. Limits of protection
App Lock adds a layer of privacy on top of Android. It relies on permissions you grant (such as the
accessibility service and usage access) and on how your device manufacturer's version of Android behaves. It
can be bypassed or stop working if those permissions are turned off, if the device is started in safe mode, by
someone with full or developer access to the device, or by system changes beyond our control. App Lock is not a
substitute for your device's own screen lock and encryption.
5. App Lock Premium
- Plans. Premium is offered as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices and any free trial are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country and change over time.
- Payment. Purchases are made and billed through Google Play, under Google Play's terms.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You can cancel at any time in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Free trials. If a free trial is offered and you start it, you will be charged the subscription price when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. Trials are available once per Google account and only to eligible users.
- Lifetime. A lifetime purchase gives you Premium for as long as we offer the app and its Premium features, on the Google account used to buy it. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policies.
- Restoring. Premium is linked to your Google Play account. Use "Restore purchases" in the app after reinstalling or changing devices.
- Changes to features. We may add, change or remove Premium features over time. We will not remove the core value of a plan you have paid for without notice.
6. Third-party services
The app uses services from Google (Firebase and Google Play) and RevenueCat, described in our Privacy Policy.
Websites you visit in the private browser are provided by third parties, and we are not responsible for their
content or practices.
7. Disclaimer
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we make no warranties of
any kind, express or implied, including that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or able to prevent every
form of access to your device or data.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential
damages, or for any loss of data, including hidden files or a forgotten PIN, arising from your use of or inability
to use the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the
app or Premium in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer
laws that cannot be excluded.
9. Ending use
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your license if you seriously
breach these terms. Sections 3, 4, 7, 8 and 10 continue to apply after your use ends.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms when the app changes. We will post the new version on this page and update the
effective date; continuing to use the app after that means you accept the updated terms. These terms are
governed by the laws of [country], without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the
country where you live.
