Effective date: 3 October 2026
Apou is a positive habit and reward-tracking application designed to be operated by parents or legal guardians.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the information entered into the application. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Apou.
Apou allows a parent or legal guardian to enter information such as:
A child’s name;
A child’s date of birth;
Daily assessments and scores;
Reward selections and reward history;
Custom rewards created by the parent;
Point balances and progress information.
This information is stored locally on the user’s device. Apou does not require the creation of an account, and this information is not transmitted to or stored on servers operated by the developer.
The information entered into Apou is used exclusively to provide the application’s features, including:
Managing child profiles;
Recording and editing daily assessments;
Calculating point balances;
Displaying progress and behaviour trends;
Creating, managing and claiming rewards.
The developer does not use this information for advertising, marketing, profiling or tracking.
The developer does not sell, rent or share the information entered into Apou with third parties.
Apou does not contain third-party advertising and does not track users across other applications or websites.
Apou is designed to be operated by parents or legal guardians. Children are not expected to create an account or provide information directly to the developer.
Information about a child is entered and managed by the parent or legal guardian and remains stored locally on that person’s device.
The developer does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
If the user enables notifications, Apou may use the device’s notification functionality to provide reminders related to the application.
Notification preferences and scheduling information are processed locally on the device and are not transmitted to the developer.
Users can disable notifications at any time through their device settings.
Information remains stored on the device for as long as the user keeps it within the application.
Users can remove information using the deletion features available in Apou. Deleting the application from the device will also remove its locally stored application data, subject to any device or cloud backups independently managed by the user and the device provider.
Because the developer does not receive or store the information entered into Apou, the developer cannot remotely retrieve, modify or delete that information.
Depending on the user’s device settings, application data may be included in backups managed by Apple or another device service provider. Such backups are controlled by the user and governed by the privacy policies and terms of the relevant provider.
If a user contacts us for assistance, we may receive the information voluntarily provided in the communication, such as the user’s email address, device information and a description of the issue.
This information will be used only to respond to the support request and will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request or comply with applicable legal obligations.
Users should not include a child’s sensitive personal information in support messages.
We take reasonable measures to design Apou in a way that protects user information. However, users are responsible for securing their device with appropriate protections, such as a passcode, Face ID or Touch ID.
No method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy if Apou’s features or data-handling practices change.
Any revised version will be published on this page with an updated effective date. If a change materially affects how information is handled, the relevant App Store privacy information will also be updated.
