Highly Qualified & Experienced Team
Our team is selected for both professional qualifications and their ability to work confidently with young learners.
Academic Staff
All teachers hold CELTA, Trinity TESOL, or equivalent internationally recognised teaching qualifications.
Many bring additional experience in teaching young learners, exam preparation, or group‑based language immersion programmes.
Academic staff are supported by Director of Studies and Senior Teacher roles to ensure consistent lesson quality across the school.
Activity Leaders
Activity leaders are energetic, responsible, and experienced in supervising young learners in sports, arts, excursions, and campus life.
All staff working directly with students are Garda‑vetted and trained to manage groups safely during both on‑site and off‑site activities.
Student Welfare
Staff ensure students feel safe, supported, and comfortable throughout their stay, helping with homesickness, personal issues, and day‑to‑day needs.
Comprehensive Training Programme
All staff complete a structured induction programme before students arrive.
Mandatory Training Includes:
· Child safeguarding and student protection.
· Health & safety and first aid procedures.
· Risk assessment protocols for excursions and on‑site activities.
· Recognising homesickness and supporting teenagers away from home.
· Apollo programme standards: teaching quality, activity delivery, supervision expectations, and communication guidelines.
Training continues throughout the summer with regular briefings, observations, and on‑the‑job coaching.
Student Welfare & Safety First
Student well-being is at the heart of our programme.
· All Apollo staff monitor students daily and are available around the clock via the emergency phone.
· Every activity and excursion has a risk assessment, and feedback from activity leaders is encouraged throughout the summer.
· Staff follow a clear Code of Conduct to ensure a positive, respectful atmosphere.
· Our English‑only policy encourages students to make friends from other countries and get the most from their language experience.
Supervision & Support
We maintain high supervision levels to ensure a safe and enjoyable stay.
Continuous supervision from morning until bedtime.
Activity leaders, teachers, and managers work together to ensure students feel safe, included, and supported in every aspect of their programme.
Daily communication with group leaders helps us maintain strong coordination and quick response to any student needs.
Our Commitment
Apollo prides itself on selecting staff who are:
Qualified, Caring, Professional & Youth-Focused
Our goal is to create a fun, supportive, and secure environment where every student feels confident, welcome, and ready to learn.
