I purchased an apogee duet 2 off of eBay for a cheap interface to learn home recording on via Logic Pro. Yes, I know it's an old interface, but for me, an amateur, if I can get it to work, it will be fine. The unit powers on, logic recognizes it, I have it selected as both my input and output however once I plug my guitar in, I don't seem to be getting any signal at all.

I received my brand new iMac 27" today which is super awesome! The problem is, the maestro software to my apogee quartet is freezing after a couple of minutes, the meters are not responding at all, and are stuck. I've downloaded the maestro software for mavericks it says on their downloads site. The unit itself is still responding though.

Does the duet use maestro on the Mac to set up any routing? I use maestro with my ensemble to set the routing so it works as a standalone converter. I seek to remember there being a control app of some sort when I had the apogee one, although I only ever used that on iPad.

The hum gradually getting louder tells me something is feeding back (which routing something to itself accidentally would do!). Maybe whatever is causing it is hidden in GarageBand? Check your input monitoring settings in GB against input monitoring settings on the apogee. e24fc04721
