APN Third Training Workshop

3rd ASIA-PACIFIC NETWORK FOR GLOBAL CHANGE RESEARCH (APN-GCR) WORKSHOP FOR IMPACT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC ON AIR QUALITY OF THE ASIAN MONSOON REGION

The “3rd Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research (APN-GCR) Workshop for Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Air Quality of the Asian Monsoon Region” was successfully organised at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh spanning two days from 6th June to 7th June 2023. This workshop gathered the participation of both scientists and policymakers across various Asian Monsoon countries which fostered collaboration and knowledge sharing. Throughout the event, all of the scientists and policymakers delivered their insightful presentations on the profound impact of COVID-19 within their respective countries. All of the scientists and policymakers were also divided into two groups, engaging in thought-provoking discussions and providing comprehensive answers to critical questions concerning the vital challenges and policy implications in each country. By facilitating fruitful discussions and the exchange of insights, the workshop enhanced a robust understanding of the pandemic's impact and enabled scientists and policymakers to develop effective policy strategies.
