Having completed her Bachelor of Dermal Science degree at Victoria University, founder of A Plus Skin Clinic, Alanis is a Degree qualified Dermal Clinician. 

What is A Dermal Clinician?

Dermal Clinicians are Bachelor degree qualified skin health professionals. As part of their training they undertake 4 years of tertiary study which encompasses skin anatomy, physiology and biology. With a focus on treating the skin holistically with treatments such as Chemical Peels, Microneedling, Laser/IPL and Diathermy. 

Dermal Clinicians have the quality of assessing each client and their skin concern on an individualised basis that may differ from other alike professions. Utilising a variety of assessment strategies Dermal Clinicians use their knowledge to provide you with the most appropriate treatment plan that will target the root cause of your concerns. Dermal Clinicians also opt to treat skin concerns with a multi-modal approach, often considering other organs and their role in contributing to the concern at hand. Dermal Clinicians will often liaise or work collaboratively with other allied health professionals where necessary to achieve long-term management strategies.

Alanis's Priority,

Through working in the industry, Alanis found that at times treatment plans tended to have a one-size fits all approach and as such had the desire to provide patients with a bespoke experience and customised treatment plan in order to maximise results.

As such, A+ Skin Clinic was formed, with the vision of providing clients with a thorough consultation, detailed skin assessment and a treatment plan that is both result-driven and customised to each client and their unique treatment goals. 

A+ Skin Clinic also operates with the mission of providing care that addresses more than just the surface of the skin. With an emphasis on being attentive to all factors that may affect the skin, and sourcing further intervention where necessary to provide you with the best possible treatment outcomes. The clinic operates with the desire to go above and beyond and provide an exceptional customer experience, living up to its name.
