Bio study tip: Understand the content rather than just memorising the content.
Often everyone studying bio will obsess over how much content there is to learn, and I have fell victim to this train of thought way too often, but this doesn't have to be the case. Biology is a relatively straightforward subject out of all of the science subjects, where the content is not overly complex, but there is often a lot and a lot of memorisations that is expected of the students. One of the ways that I found which helped me get through this chasm of content is to understand the underlying reasoning behind a process first before trying to commit it to memory. This workflow made it easier for me to remember the content more vividly, and it is also a more flexible way of learning, whereby understanding the concepts well allows you to apply the knowledge to a wider range of circumstances than if you simply memorised what the teacher said.
A good way of understanding the content better is by listening to different sources, because every teacher/ YouTube video/ website has a slightly different emphasis when teaching an area of study. Thus, by utilising a wide array of mediums (in person teaching, diagrams, animations, video presentation, blogs, etc.) can help give you a more complete picture of how something works.
