How to get there?

Navigation within the VU building

APLL16 will take place in the main building of VU Amsterdam. The address of the VU Amsterdam campus is: De Boelelaan 1105, 1081 HV, Amsterdam.

The rooms will be HG-3C03 - HG-Agora 3 (July 1st) and HG-3C02 - HG-Agora 2 (July 2nd and 3rd). Both rooms are located on the 3rd floor in the VU Main Building (Hoofdgebouw).  To get to the conference rooms, follow the signs that say ‘Agoras’, or follow the instructions below:

Enter the VU main building at the main entrance (Boelelaan 1105) and head left towards the yellow elevators as per the arrows in the photos.

Turn right into the corridor just before the yellow elevators, as per the photo. Turn left at the end of this corridor to take the elevators to the third floor where the conference rooms are.

Exit the elevator on the third floor, turning right, then right again followed by a left to enter the Agora foyer 1.

Conference rooms Agora 2 and Agora 3 are found in the back of Agora foyer 1. Please watch the video below if you need more help finding the conference room. 

Getting to VU campus

AIRPLANE

Schiphol Airport is located close to the VU Amsterdam campus. From Schiphol Airport direct train services run to both Amsterdam central station and Amsterdam Zuid station, which is at walking distance from VU Amsterdam.

TRAIN:

The VU Amsterdam campus is located in Amsterdam south, at walking distance from the train station named Amsterdam Zuid, from which direct trains run to Schiphol airport and trams and metros run in all directions within Amsterdam. 

CAR:
The VU Amsterdam campus is located closely to the A10 highway. A parking lot is available on the campus (please note parking costs in Amsterdam are high and can get up to €30 per day).

TRAM/METRO:
The tram and metro are the best ways of getting around within the city of Amsterdam.
The tram stop closest to the VU Campus is named A.J. Ernststraat, from which tram line 5 and tram line 25 run.
Metro 52 runs between Amsterdam Zuid station (near VU Campus) and Amsterdam Central station.

The conference meetings will take place in the main building of VU Amsterdam (hoofdgebouw) on the third floor in the conference space called Agora. More information on exact locations and orientation within the VU Campus building will published on this page in the near future.
