Bio-sketch for EMLA 2022
Damien Vila is a French international speaker and a physicist. He is specialized in waves and quantum mechanics. His medical interest is the impact of light and sound on the body and he is cofounder of learned societies like EMALT (Euro-Mediterranean Association for Light Therapy). He is at the initiative of the first PBM diploma at university about cancer supportive care and he is now leading the first PBM university diploma for all sectors, including animal and human medicine.

PBM University Diploma – unique and evolutive
The PBM university diploma is now open in France for the second session at Gynecology Department at Medicine University of Montpellier/Nîmes.
Responding to a request from the socio-professional world, the main objectives of this diploma are:
- to disseminate in-depth knowledge (state of the art) relating to photobiomodulation therapy: fundamental knowledge and clinical know-how
- to empower the professional so that he/she is able to use it alone or in addition in his/her practice in a safe and efficient manner.
The program of this diploma consists in classes and practical training in an expert’s office.
For students already graduated we add complementary modules each new year to help experience sharing and to improve practice.
The program is based on the state of the art of PBM with worldwide experts as speakers, coming from 3 continents.
PBM teaching is knowing a new approach which was expected by everyone.
