Subcommittees
As the program subcommittee for the API Youth Forum Planning Program, Tonya was the adult lead, and Max was the youth lead. They were supported by supported by Nat, Dimple, Johnny, Aditi, and Aarav. Their primary tasks included organizing diverse content such as workshops, performances, keynote speakers, and selecting MCs. They served as the main points of contact for speakers and performers, facilitating smooth communication and providing event orientation to ensure a cohesive experience for all participants.
The Marketing and Design team is led by youth lead Niharika and adult lead Shubha, and supported by Rachel, Aakriti, CJ, Harmann, Simran, Aditya, Karishma, Mehr, Vivien, and Vishnu. They are responsible for creating visually appealing and engaging content to promote events, products, or services. This includes designing logos, branding materials, and promotional collateral such as posters, flyers, and social media graphics. They also manage web design, ensuring that the organization or event's website is user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing. The team designs merchandise and event visuals, collaborating closely with the Communication and Outreach team to ensure consistent messaging and effective dissemination of promotional materials.
The Communications & Outreach subcommittee, led by Mehnaz as the adult lead and Charvi as the co-lead, along with Rachel, Anjali, Yusra, Alaisha, Diyahna, Manahil, Shaan, Zane, Arsh, and Janki, focuses on disseminating key messages and attracting participants to the program. They collaborate with the Marketing and Design team to develop effective outreach materials, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding. Their responsibilities include ongoing recruitment of program guests and event attendees, as well as finalizing the registration form based on feedback from the broader committee.
The Event Logistics committee plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of the API Youth Forum. Led by Anna and Willie, and supported by Mason, Alvey, and Bel, this committee oversees various essential tasks. Responsibilities include managing program/stage logistics, facilitating registration/check-in processes, providing emotional and language support, coordinating photography and videography, ensuring event management and safety, and handling pre-event preparation and cleanup. They also facilitate interaction with external agencies, enhancing the event's scope and impact. Overall, the Event Logistics committee works tirelessly to create a seamless and enjoyable experience for all API Youth Forum attendees.
Led by Joy as the adult lead and Aishwarya as the youth lead, the Youth Advocacy & Support committee is dedicated to providing a nurturing and empowering environment for all participants of the API Youth Forum. Supported by Tiffany and Krisha, the committee focuses on advocating for the needs and concerns of young attendees. They strive to create a safe space for dialogue, offering emotional support and guidance where needed. Through their efforts, the Youth Advocacy & Support committee plays a vital role in fostering inclusivity, empowerment, and wellbeing throughout the API Youth Forum.
