Andrew P. Hutchens

Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor of Economics in the Jaggi School of Business at the Missouri University of Science and Technology.

This site is a one-stop shop for all of my research, which spans energy economics, environmental economics, industrial organization, and transportation economics. 

My research focuses on market outcomes in energy and transportation decarbonization. Of particular interest is quantifying the effects of emerging energy technologies on electricity market and system operations. I also study how firms respond to climate change mitigation (e.g., vehicle and aircraft refueling, water management).
