APHRIOSA TRANSLATE PRIVACY POLICY

Aphriosa Translate is an English-Spanish translation application developed and published by Aphriosa.
This Privacy Policy explains how Aphriosa Translate handles information when you use the application.
1. INFORMATION PROCESSED
Translation Text
When you ask Aphriosa Translate to translate text, the text you provide is transmitted securely from the app to Aphriosa's translation service so that the requested translation can be generated.
The translation text may contain information that you voluntarily type or paste into the application. Users should avoid submitting highly sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for the translation they are requesting.
Local App Data
Some application preferences and features may store information locally on your device. Information that remains only on your device is not transmitted to Aphriosa unless it is included as part of a translation request.
Subscription and Purchase Information
If Aphriosa Translate offers a paid subscription or other Google Play purchase, payments are processed by Google Play. Aphriosa does not receive or store your full credit-card or banking information. The application may receive purchase or subscription status information necessary to determine whether paid features are available to you.
Free Access and Device Identifier
Aphriosa Translate sends a hashed device or app identifier to our server to manage the seven-day free access period, enforce usage limits, and prevent abuse. We store this identifier with the free-access start and expiration dates. These server records are not automatically deleted when the free period ends or when you uninstall the app.
Diagnostic Information
Our service records technical information about requests, including request times, processing duration, response status, and error outcomes. These records may include a hashed client identifier. We use this information to monitor performance, troubleshoot problems, and secure the service. Our application’s diagnostic logs do not include translation text or raw purchase or reviewer-access tokens.
2. HOW INFORMATION IS USED
Information submitted to Aphriosa Translate is used only for purposes related to operating the application, including:
• Generating requested translations
• Returning translation results to the user
• Maintaining and securing the translation service
• Diagnosing technical problems and preventing abuse
• Providing paid features when applicable
Aphriosa does not sell translation text or personal information.
3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS
Aphriosa Translate uses service providers necessary to operate the application.
OpenAI
Translation requests may be processed using OpenAI's API. Text submitted for translation may therefore be transmitted to OpenAI for the purpose of generating the requested translation.
According to OpenAI's API data policies, data submitted through the API is not used to train OpenAI models by default unless the API customer explicitly opts in. OpenAI may retain certain API abuse-monitoring data for a limited period according to its policies and legal obligations.
Google Play
Google Play may process information related to app installation, purchases, subscriptions, updates, and other Google Play services according to Google's own privacy policies.
The production version of Aphriosa Translate does not use advertising to sell or profile users based on their translation text.
4. DATA RETENTION
Aphriosa does not intentionally maintain a permanent developer-controlled history of the text users submit solely for translation.
Translation requests are processed as necessary to provide the requested service. Service providers may temporarily retain certain request information according to their own security, abuse-prevention, legal, and retention policies.
Information stored locally by the application remains on the user's device until it is removed by the user, cleared through the application where available, or removed when the application's local data is deleted.
Free-access records contain a hashed device or app identifier and the trial’s start and expiration dates. These records remain on our server after the seven-day period ends to prevent repeated free trials. There is currently no automatic expiration or deletion schedule for these records. Clearing app data or uninstalling the app does not delete them from our server.
5. DATA SECURITY
Aphriosa uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information transmitted through the application.
Internet transmission and electronic storage can never be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should therefore avoid entering information that is not necessary for the translation they wish to perform.
6. USER CHOICES AND DATA DELETION
Aphriosa Translate does not require an Aphriosa account. You can remove locally stored app data through available app controls or your device’s app settings. Clearing app data or
uninstalling the app does not delete server-side trial records or cancel a Google Play subscription.
To request deletion of data under Aphriosa’s control, email zenzalee@gmail.com with the subject “Aphriosa Translate Data Deletion Request.” Describe the data you want
deleted. We may need additional information to locate the relevant records and verify your request. Your email address alone does not identify your hashed device identifier.
Deletion requests are reviewed for applicable data, including trial records and diagnostic information. Information already deleted cannot be retrieved for deletion. If any
information must be retained, we will explain the reason when responding to your request.
Manage or cancel subscriptions through Google Play. Google controls its own payment and transaction records.

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Aphriosa Translate is a general-purpose translation application and is not specifically directed toward children.
Users should not use the application to submit personal information about children unless they have the legal right and appropriate reason to do so.
8. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Aphriosa Translate changes its features, service providers, or data practices.
The current version will be published on this page with its effective date.
