Only insert the SIM card AFTER arriving in the destination country AND clearing customs.

On cruise ships or ferries
In custom inspection areas
(May cause SIM card malfunction otherwise)
1. After clearing customs, remove all other SIM cards and insert the travel SIM into the primary slot (Slot 1). (Keep the serial number on the card packaging)
2. Ensure that cellular data and "Data Roaming" are turned on in your phone settings menu.
3. Keep your phone on for 5 minutes, and it will display "4G/5G" or the name of the local carrier on the top right.

Disable all VPNs (settings → general → VPN & device management → Turn off VPNs)
Remove all VPNs (Delete all VPN Configurations)
