APERO is a punk, ska, reggae, band from Halifax, Nova Scotia formed in 2019. The originally 5-, now 7-piece ensemble, plays upbeat catchy tunes that gets the crowd going hard. If you like NOFX, Rancid, Suicide Machines, Mad Caddies, etc.. you'll love these guys! Lyrics are about all sort of weird stupid stuff but some political content as well. They played mostly around Nova Scotia so far but are eager to go west! They got to perform in a lot of different venues, from the local classic, Gus's pub, where they opened for Montreal Punk legends RIPCORDZ, to bigger clubs like the Sea Horse Tavern where they got to open for TEENAGE BOTTLEROCKET and THE QUEERS for their "Invade the North" tour in 2023 and opening for THE MAD CADDIES on their summer tour in august 2024!
David is the rhythm guitar player and vocalist, he's originally from France and he's the one who writes most of the songs. The first album, Break The Seal (available in the media section) include lyrics both in English and French!
Anna is the keyboard player and backup vocalist. Born and raised in Halifax, she has played in a few bands around town. Her voice harmonies and ivory melodies are straight from the soul!
James is the bass player and absolutely smashes those bass lines that transport you to a different dimension!
Colin is on the drums. Not only is he fast but flawlessly alternates from harsh speedy lines to sweet reggae beats, with everything in between!
Yuto is a brand new member of Apéro and plays the Alto Sax, while he doesn't appear on the first album, he'll definitely be on the second!
Soa is Yuto's older brother, he plays the Trumpet for Apéro and will be on the second album as well!
Last but not least, Louis is the lead guitar player. Always in the spotlight with those catchy phrases that give the songs their colours and personalities. his are the riffs that you sing along to and stay stuck in your head!
