THE CONCEPT: Terreae Aufidae is a young association based in Trinitapoli with the goal to promote the authentic culture and traditions of Puglia, develop sustainable tourism and, as a consequence, bring a positive impact to the local community. Since 2016 Pierluigi Parente and Terrae Aufidae started offering the chance for international friends to visit Puglia as guests, getting in touch with local people and discover an authentic corner of Italy.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THIS EXPERIENCE:
Visit Important cultural and historical heritage sites of northern Puglia as Castel del Monte or the city center of Barletta and Trani.
Live the countryside, learn about the rural traditions and take part to harvest of the olives or other typical products of Puglia.
Take part in cooking workshop with real mammas and nonnas. Learn how to make local orecchiette (pasta) or local sweets.
Visit local producers of wine and olive oil in order to know everything about the products, how they are made and of course...taste them all!
Enjoy the November's mild weather of South Italy and cycle towards the seaside surrounded by salt flats and flamingos.
