DO NOT allow an interruption to communication between the PC and Leveloader during a firmware upgrade. It is important that the communication between the PC and the Leveloader is not interrupted during a firmware/calibration upload.

The Firmware Upgrade Utility is included with the Levelogger PC Software and can be used to upload new firmware files into a Leveloader. The firmware file can be obtained from www.solinst.com/downloads/

Click the 'Open' button, which should open a file dialog asking for the firmware file (*.ssf) to upload. Navigate to where the firmware file was saved on your PC, then click on the file and click 'Open' (make sure you have unzipped the downloaded firmware *.ssf file).

If a communication error occurs and is indicated in the Leveloader Information Window either before the "Verified Program Checksum" message or after the "Program Information Section", then restart the upgrade process.

The Software checks for firmware updates once you have connected the Leveloader to the PC, put it in 'Data to PC' mode and communicated with the Software. "Firmware Update Available" will appear in the top right of the menu bar. When you click the message, a webpage will open, allowing you to download the update.

As far as I know the WD SSD Dashboard is the only software that can help you to upgrade the firmware. I would recommend that you connect the drive to a Windows computer in order to update the firmware.

Have there been any updates on this? I have a filesystem consisting of 8 WDS400T1R0A-68A4W0 SSDs with firmware version 411000WR. Now one of them failed and I got a replacement. But it has version 411010WR. And that gives me an OCD (or even CDO) feeling that I should upgrade the 7 other devices to the l8test and gr8test version.

If you want update the firmware on your SSD while avoiding Windows or the Western Digital Dashboard application, this is the guide for you. For those with the SN750 from Framework, no updates are available at this time. Before we begin, you will...

A few weeks ago we upgraded all hosts to 4.1.1U1. In principle everything went well, however the upgrade manager on 3 hosts indicates that the firmware is still on the old version. I have registered a ticket for this, one of the actions I have taken as a result of support is to run the firmware manually. What i found was that it fails on the package 'HPE Qlogic NX2 firmware utility', this package tries to upgrade the network adapter 'HPE FlexFabric 10Gb 2-port 534FLR-SFP+'. HPE support wants to replace the network card, but I have (it seems) this problem on three hosts, i found it hard to believe that three cards are defective. By the way, the Simplivity hosts are running fine. After some research it turns out that the current version of that card is quite old (7.18.26 - 2.26.7 20-12-2019), so it seems that with the previous updates this firmware never has been updated. My question is, is there anyone who is aware of this or has experienced this? They are Simplivity systems from 2018.

Techted tells me via PM that when he downloads the 65.69.51 FW his compressed file download is 259MB whereas when I download it just now, it is 399MB. So I have put it up on my dropbox account if anybody wants to try it. Obviously I am an untrustworthy source so scan for virii and use at your own risk. This not the file I downloaded on 3rd November which I seem to recall having a date of 3rd November in the FW upgrade utility. Unfortunately, I deleted that file. The file date in the dropbox link as reported in the FW upgrade utility is 7th September. My printer is 6515DN, my OS is windows 10 x64. I will be deleting the link tomorrow.

I downloaded the 65.69.51 firmware again to check the date given in the Versalink Firmware Utility, both from the link given in Xerox's website support page and from CathyO-Xerox's link. Both seem to point to the same link, although hers is for Windows 11 and I downloaded from the Xerox's support page for Windows 10, which is what I use. It would give more confidence that one is getting the revised firmware if Xerox were to change the release date of the firmware on the support page from 22/09/15 to the release date of the revised firmware. File sizes for each file I downloaded are the same: 407,716 KB. The firmware upgrade utility says the date for each firmware .bin file is 2022/9/7 06:00:24. In windows the date modified is 2022/09/07 7:00, size on disk 417,501,184 bytes. I seem to remember when I was upgrading to 65.69.51 on 2022/11/3 that the date in the firmware upgrade utility was different and that it was 2022/11/3 although I cannot confirm that unfortunately as I did not keep the .bin fiirmware file.

I successfully upgraded my 6515DN to 65.69.51 (from 65.66.91) using the Versalink Firmware Upgrade Utility over wifi. When the transfer progress indicator in the utility reached 100%, it stated that the firmware had been stored successfully. The printer then turned off. I turned it back on and the printer displayed a progress indicator. When it reached 100% it turned itself off then back on several times. When the control panel eventually came back up, it printed a software upgrade report stating the software had been successfully upgraded to 65.69.51.

I posted a similar thread not realising your thread existed. Unfortunately, am still unable to sucessfully update my firmware even with the 'fixed' firmware. I tried doing it via WiFi like you did in case that made a difference. It unfortunately did not.

If your device has already been registered to MyVigor Server, then MyVigor will send a notification email to you, please follow the instructions on the email to complete the upgrade process. If you have not received the email, please check the spam/junk mail folders as well. These steps need to be completed before 2021-05-22 or the WCF and DrayDDNS services may not work as expected.

First, let me say greetings from a newby on the NETGEAR Community and apologize for any rehashing of old/existing information.

If this is the wrong thread for me to be on, would you please redirect me to the correct one? Thanks.

Background:

I just recently purchase 2 Netgear ProSAFE switches: GS108Ev3 and GS116Ev2. I am having the same issues with both.

They are in a network with a Netgear Nighthawk R7000 router that is providing DHCP IP services. The GS116Ev2 is directly connected to the router and the GS108Ev3 is connected to the GS116Ev2. I am using MAC security filter on the R7000 and have successfully configured both switches for DHCP IP mode, have them receiving IP addresses and functioning on the network. I'm using the ProSAFE Plus Configuration Utility V2.5.3 and can see and connect to both switches. I'm running Windows PC's with latest version Windows 10. What I can't do is update the firmware using the ProSAFE Plus Configuration Utility. The current firmware status is:

Switch Current Firmware Latest Downloaded Firmware

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

GS108Ev3 V2.00.08 V 2.00.12

GS116Ev2 V 2.0.1.26 V2.0.1.40

When I try to update either switch the Configuration Utility reports that TFTP fails after about a minute of apparent retries. I don't have a network sniffer, so I can't see the connection attempts. I'm assuming it must be similar to the issues I have read in this thread. I have not tried to use the web browser interface. I was hoping by now, that the Configuration Utility would be updated to connect properly. After all, it correctly identifies the switch, the IP address, the MAC address, and I can connect with each one and configure it and monitor it. I do see some of the issues that have been reported that it looks like the GS108Ev3 has been bricked. It does not respond to the hard reset to factory defaults, but a power-down reset brought it back to life and I could reconfigure it for DHCP service. The GS116Ev2 simply ignored the procedure and continued to run as configured before the upgrade attempt. I tried upgrading the GS108Ev3 with a PC connected to the GS116Ev2, so the connection would have had to go through the GS116Ev2 to the GS108Ev3. That failed the the GS108Ev3 was unaffected. When I tried to upgrade the GS108Ev3 using a PC directly connected to the GS108Ev3 is when it needed to be power cycled after the connection attempt failed.

So, before I jump through any more hoops and wind up with a bricked switch, what are my best options for updating the firmware on my two switches? Did I shoot myself in the foot buying these switches? My desire was to be able to manage the devices over the network simply using the Configuration Utility.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Regards,

John

As per the official ProSafe Plus Utility page, v2.5.3 is current. Can't be we have to use outdated versions - unless there would be a known interoperability issue, and switch firmware and/or utility would require a fix and update.

Doesn't the prompt for username and password happen if using ProSAFE Plus Configuration Utility versions earlier than 2.3.29 (with the SOAP issue) and/or 2.4.3 against any current switch firmware version?

Based from the current firmware status of your GS116Ev2 and GS108Ev3 which you have mentioned in your initial post, both switches are already in the latest firmware version. v2.0.1.40 is the latest firmware for the GS116Ev2, check this link while v2.00.12 is the latest firmware for the GS108Ev3, check it here. 17dc91bb1f
