Most recent degree is in Education. It come from the University of New York, from the Academy of Distinguished Educators, in Excellence in Clinical Teaching. PhD is earned in Lasers in Periodontology, preceded by a Master of Science Degree awarded in Biophysics and Bio-Cellular Technology and Doctor in Dental Surgery, from Medical University Carol Davila University, Bucharest, Romania. Prof York served on the Board of Editors of the International Phototherapy Association in Japan, and I she is a Fellow of Royal Society of Medicine. As a Clinical Assistant Professor to the Cariology and Comprehensive Care Department of the NYU where she have enjoyed a lively and productive clinical teaching rapport with students and supportive relationship with colleagues. As a Professor Honoris for PMS College in India, Kerala Thiruvananthapuram, she put the basis of a Diploma Course in Laser Dentistry. Dr York conducted clinical research trials, converting theoretical speculation into delivered, evidence based treatment for Laser Therapy , Mercury Toxicity and Periodontal bone growth. Dana presented her findings both as an author in peer-review journals and as a lecturer at conferences throughout the world. Awarded the prize for Best Research Paper at the Laser Florence Conference in 2002 and 2015 of the International Academy of Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr York serves now as the President of the European Medical Laser Association Her training in Cellular Technology and as well in Gene Therapy made her duty to study and investigate the COVID-19 crises.

With over 28 years of experience in photobiomodulation and laser therapy, I am the president of the European Medical Laser Association (EMLA), a leading organization that promotes and supports the research and practice of this innovative and effective field of medicine. I have a Ph.D. in Medicine and Biophysics from Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy and a Master of Science in Biophysics and Cellular Technology from New York University, where I also received a Diploma of Education in Clinical Teaching.
As the president of EMLA, I lead a network of over 500 professionals and researchers from 44 countries, who share their knowledge and expertise through publications, conferences, workshops, and collaborations. I have conducted and published multiple clinical trials on the efficacy and safety of various laser devices and treatments, and I have introduced innovative solutions for pain management, wound healing, and cosmetic procedures. I am also passionate about applying my skills and creativity to humanitarian and artistic causes. I support the Agape Foundation in protecting children victims of violence, and I express myself through painting and piano. My mission is to inspire, educate, and empower others through science, art, and philanthropy.
