Dr. Kusek is a graduate of Creighton University and received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry in 1984. Dr. Kusek holds several high-level awards and distinctions, including Honored Fellow and Current President of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, holds Mastership title and Past President of Academy of Laser Dentistry, Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology, and Adjunct Professor at the University of Nebraska’s dental school.
About:
Dr. Kusek is a general dentist with a full-time practice in Sioux Falls and serves as an
adjunct professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and South Dakota
School of Hygiene. He obtained his dental degree in 1984 from the University of
Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. Dr. Kusek achieved AAID Associate
Fellow status in 1993, earned his AAID Fellow credential in 1995, and became a
Diplomate of the American Board of Implantology (ABOI) in 1999. Additionally, he
holds Mastership status in both the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and the
Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD). Dr. Kusek serves on the executive board of ALD
and is a recognized course provider for ALD, one of only 24 internationally. He has
authored numerous articles on the utilization of dental lasers and implant dentistry.
