Please note that if you wish to use JDK 14 for NetBeans only and another JDK for your system, then you should keep the update-alternatives command pointing on the desired system JDK and specify your NetBeans JDK in netbeans.conf (as you seems having done actually).

Last thing, I wonder where your NetBeans is, or how many NetBeans you have installed in your session. How did you install NetBeans? You mention you edited the netbeans.conf file. Where was it located ? I am asking because it seems that you installed NetBeans via snap, but if this is correct then you should not have been able to edit the .conf file.

If you cannot get a working NetBeans from any of the above steps, I would suggest uninstalling the snap package. The icon should have disappeared. You should not get any result for which netbeans in terminal.

C:\WINDOWS\system32>certutil -hashfile C:\Users\admin\Downloads\netBeans\apache-netbeans-12.0-bin-windows-x64.exeSHA1 hash of C:\Users\admin\Downloads\netBeans\apache-netbeans-12.0-bin-windows-x64.exe:b9b94a787f6da1498d542f9da2595fdd0914ecc0CertUtil: -hashfile command completed successfully.

I found a similar utility in windows 10 powershell; Get -FileHash.Netbeans did not want to install because it couldn't find any JDK already installed (I was under the impression the Netbeans app included it), so I downloaded JDK 15.0 from Oracle's page, and they had a key for that, which I also downloaded. They use one of the other algorithms, but the Get -FileHash worked, and the binary checksums matched, so at least I know now what good results (okay file) look like. I used the Get -FileHash on the netbeans executable and it's associated keys, but still no luck. Apache appears to be doing some reorganization/shuffling on their websites, so maybe this is part of the issue?

Apache NetBeans IDE 11.0 (Build incubator-netbeans-release-404-on-20190319) is missing the Wilfly server plugin. Are there any licensing issues as the Netbeans site suggest? Is there a workaround like manually downloading and installing the plugin?

I would like to have our (netbeans snap) release track 11.0 and 12.0 removed. We announced our 12.6 release today and with that we also announce, the removal of our LTS versions. We no longer release an LTS until an obvious need and support arise. 2351a5e196
