The online tuner gives me the correct note, however when I play a sustained note that should be at zero cents (440.0), the cents meter swings back and forth between 2 and 7 cents with "Hum cancellation" unchecked and between 5 and 8 with "Hum cancellation" checked. Also it registers about 20 cents too high.

I also read "How to Use the Tuner" a few times, tried the tuner in fireFox, Internet Explorer, Chrome. Is there anything else I should try? Could the problems be with be the sound card? Or maybe the electric utilities company has too many transformers in my neighborhood?

In the upcoming 'Harp Tech Series" that David and I are filming, I cover my favorite tuners. Although I ranked the Peterson at the top of my favorite list, an important feature of all on-line and iphone apps is the ability to "dampen the needle". I am not familiar with The Seventh String, but if it has it--and you already enabled the needle dampening feature, then it very likely your gear, including computer and mic could be funky.

I have an electronic tuner but I found that AP Tuner worked much better for me because of the sheer amount of options it presents you with, such as the ability to view and listen to a graph of musical notes and a library of sounds that can be customised by the user.

Going from a 2.93 to a 3.07 the RPM at 60mph in 5th by roughly 100, so it's negligible. With that small a difference in final drive you'll not be able to notice a difference in the way the car drives at all.

So if you want to go 3.07, you'll have to buy a (probably used) z4 diff. Maybe not a bad idea because the z4 diff has a diffcover with integrated cooling fins. Not that a quaife generates tht much heat (unlike a clutch type lsd, that will get hot), but it is still a little bit more than the stock diff (more gear contact area in a quaife).

as always a very comprehensive reply mate, I have a five speed, both are meant for a 330ci, so based on what you say its not really worth having the 3.07 as it costs more and i probably wont notice it anyway?

This section is for the few who decide to try to learn to tune a piano closer to a professional level. If you follow these instructions, and if you practice on many pianos, you will be able to tune a piano professionally with time. You will need an experienced tuner to mentor you along the way. It is very helpful to find such a gentleman if you can. But, if all the tuners in your area refuse to help you, then just follow the instructions, and keep at it until you have the skill mastered.

Before you go on to try to learn this art form, that is, if you are not really interested in piano tuning as a trade, please consider using Robert Scott's TuneLab 97--3.07 tuning shareware. It is only $34 to register, and you get the full program here in order to try out. I have used it, and I find it a fantastic program for the price. Other programs like it are going for $700. It is very easy to use TuneLab 97 to do a touch up or even a rather serious tuning. You will need a laptop PC though, or a computer placed near your piano.

Bibliography and index included, 8 1/2" x 11", and hundreds of illustrations.

Close to 300 pages of the best information available for the professional tuner / technician. College textbook quality, but at trade prices.

In this study, we investigated the effect of microwave-irradiation annealing (MWA) and thermal furnace annealing (FA) in oxygen ambient on the active channel layer of p-type tin-oxide (SnO) thin-film transistors. At very low source-drain voltage of -0.1 V, the MWA at 1200 W and FA at 300 C samples have exhibited significant improvement in the electrical characteristics such as subthreshold swing (SS) of 0.93 and 0.485 V dec-1, the I on/I off ratio of 1.65  104 and 3.07  104, the field-effect mobility ( FE) of 0.16 and 0.26 cm2 V-1 s and ultra-low off-state current of 1.9 and 2.0 pA respectively. The observed performance enhancement was mainly attributed to the reduction of interface trap density (N t) by tuning the power of MWA and optimizing the temperature in FA. From the result, we observed the optical band gap (E g) increased by 6% in FA, and 12% in MWA, which confirms improved crystallinity and reduction of defect states. Additionally, a low thermal budget microwave anneal process has shown high transmittance of more than 86% in the visible region (380-700 nm). The physical characterization indicates the partial phase transformation of SnO to SnO2 with retaining p-type conductivity in both annealing processes. The results demonstrate that both the annealing process could be highly promising to be used in the complementary logic circuits of new generation flexible/transparent displays. 2351a5e196
