06/2026 --- The paper presenting the key findings from my second postdoctoral fellowship at LPS has been published in Tribology International. Interleaved systems continue to reveal remarkable mechanical properties, this time in the form of intriguing stick-slip dynamics that demonstrate the subtle interplay between frictional properties and collective elastic response. Many thanks to Christophe Poulard and Frédéric Restagno for this fruitful project!
03/2026 --- A couple of papers on phase-separated non-equilibrium systems driven by active collisions have recently appeared in Physical Review Letters. Both are part of the PhD project of R. Maire. The first was a collaboration with L. Galliano and L. Berthier from Gulliver-ESPCI; the second was a collaboration with G. Foffi and F. Smallenburg from LPS.
02/2026 --- A paper on the rheology of dense vibrated granular systems has been recently accepted as a letter in Physical Review Research. This is the result of a fruitful collaboration with Sapienza, Vanvitelli and Nanyang Universities.
08/2025 --- A couple of papers on experimental and theoretical results about non-equilibrium phase coexistence were recently published in the Journal of Chemical Physics.
01/08/2024 --- With R. Maire we published a paper in the Journal of Chemical Physics about hyperuniformity and long-range order in driven 2D crystals.
04/06/2024 --- With R. Maire, M. Stockinger, E. Trizac, F. Smallenburg and G. Foffi we published a paper in Physical Review Letters on the role of synchronization mechanisms in an absorbing phase transition.
22/02/2024 --- An article in Le Monde talks about our paper on the granular quasi-crystal.
19/01/2024 --- With R. Maire, E. Fayen, F. Boulogne, F. Restagno, F. Smallenburg and G. Foffi we published a paper in Nature Physics about the first observation of quasi-crystal spontaneous self-assembly at the macroscopic scale.
