If you want a dedicated audio device for side sleeping, airplane travel, or active listening that blends seamlessly into your daily routine, choose AONESY Sleep Headband Headphones; if you need a rugged, retro-styled protective shell to keep your AirPods Pro 3 safe from drops and scratches while maintaining wireless charging, choose ELVRLA Creative Smooth Matt.
These two products occupy completely different corners of the audio accessory market, yet they often appear in similar searches because both involve Bluetooth earbuds and sleep-related comfort. One is a functional piece of wearable technology designed to replace traditional headphones during rest or movement, while the other is a cosmetic and protective case for an existing set of premium earbuds. Confusing them is easy, but understanding their distinct purposes is crucial before you spend money. The AONESY unit is an all-in-one solution for people who struggle with bulky over-ear gear at night or need hands-free audio while running. The ELVRLA product is purely an upgrade for the durability and aesthetic of your current Apple earbuds, offering a unique vintage radio look without any built-in speakers or battery of its own.
• AONESY: Its biggest strength is the integrated ultra-thin speaker design specifically engineered for side sleepers and active use, offering 14+ hours of battery life; however, it requires a full headband setup rather than just covering earbuds.
• ELVRLA: Its standout feature is the durable, shockproof silicone construction with a creative vintage radio shape that supports wireless charging; the trade-off is that it only protects the case and offers no audio functionality itself.
• The Verdict: Choose AONESY if you are looking for the best sleep headphones for sleeping or a bluetooth headset for fishing and travel where you need independent playback; choose ELVRLA if you already own AirPods Pro 3 and simply want a funny, heavy-duty cover to prevent damage.
This product is built for the person who finds traditional earbuds uncomfortable after an hour of wear or who needs audio equipment that can withstand tossing and turning on a pillow. The design philosophy here centers on "all-night comfort." By placing ultra-thin, cushioned speakers directly next to the ears within a soft cloth headband, the AONESY unit eliminates the pressure points that cause pain for many side sleepers. The internal pockets keep these speakers aligned perfectly, so even if you roll over in your sleep, the audio source stays right where it needs to be. This makes it a genuine alternative to bulky over-ear headphones that might crush your ears or slip off during a restless night.
The battery performance is another critical factor for this specific user profile. With over 14 hours of continuous playback on a single charge, this headband is capable of lasting through a full night of white noise, audiobooks, or calming music without needing a recharge. For frequent travelers, this longevity is essential; you won't find yourself scrambling to plug in a cable in the middle of a long flight or waking up to silence when your entertainment cuts out. The inclusion of a built-in microphone adds significant utility, allowing you to take calls, join Zoom meetings, or interact with voice assistants without switching devices, which is perfect for someone who uses audio for both relaxation and productivity.

However, this isn't a product for everyone. If you prefer the sound isolation of deep-seal earbuds or dislike wearing anything on your head while you sleep, this will feel restrictive. The material is cloth, which is washable once you remove the Bluetooth modules, but it is not waterproof like a rubberized case. It is also heavier than a simple pair of earbuds due to the integrated electronics and battery. You should buy this if you prioritize comfort and battery life over the sleekness of standard earbuds. You should skip it if you are looking for a way to protect your existing expensive earbuds or if you need a device that doesn't require any fabric wrapping around your head.
In stark contrast, the ELVRLA Creative Smooth Matt is not an audio device; it is a protective shell designed exclusively for the AirPods Pro 3 Generation. Its primary function is to offer all-round protection against dust, shocks, scratches, and water damage. The enclosure is made of soft TPU silicone, described as heavy-duty, ensuring it will not loosen or deform over time. This is a practical choice for someone who is rough with their accessories or works in environments where dropping a case could lead to costly repairs. The material choice suggests a focus on durability and grip, making it less likely to slide off a table compared to a slick plastic case.
The most distinct aspect of this product is its visual identity. It features a creative vintage radio shape with a hook, giving the mundane charging case a unique and funny appearance. For users who want their tech to stand out or bring a bit of joy to their daily carry, this nature-patterned green case serves as a statement piece. It retains the core functionality of the original case by supporting wireless charging, meaning you don't have to sacrifice convenience for style. The design ensures that all functions of the AirPods Pro 3 work seamlessly, so you get the protection without losing any connectivity or pairing capabilities.
This product is strictly for owners of the third-generation AirPods Pro. It offers no value to anyone else, nor does it provide any new audio features. It is ideal for someone who loves quirky, retro aesthetics and wants to ensure their earbuds survive a drop from a high chair or a hike. However, if you are looking for a standalone headphone system or something to help you sleep, this case will not help you at all. It is a fashion-forward shield for your existing audio gear, nothing more.

• Best for battery endurance: AONESY, offering over 14 hours of playtime versus zero hours since the ELVRLA has no battery.
• Best for active sports (fishing/running): AONESY, as it stays securely in place and includes a microphone for calls, whereas the ELVRLA is just a stationary case.
• Best for protecting expensive gear: ELVRLA Creative Smooth Matt, providing shockproof and waterproof protection for AirPods Pro 3.
• Best for unique aesthetics: ELVRLA, with its vintage radio design and green nature pattern.
• Best for hands-free calling: AONESY, featuring a built-in mic for Zoom or phone calls; the ELVRLA offers no audio input.

• Best for wireless charging convenience: Both support it, but ELVRLA preserves the wireless charging of the original case, while AONESY charges its own internal battery.
For my own recommendation, I would choose the AONESY Sleep Headband Headphones for anyone planning to use audio equipment specifically for airplane travel or sleep. The ability to lie on your side without crushing your ears is a game-changer that no hard-shell case can replicate. While the ELVRLA Creative Smooth Matt is a clever and durable accessory for protecting your AirPods, it solves a problem you likely don't have if you are looking for a sleep solution. If you need a device that plays music, podcasts, or helps you relax without discomfort, the AONESY headband is the only logical choice.
