There are some dwarves who believe that the First Dwarves were giant stones, trapped in the earth until Ghorhaedin found them and gave them life.
Other dwarves believe that dwarves have always been, since the creation of the world, and lived underground in complete darkness untll Ghorhaedin brought them light.
