Short Bio:

Olalekan J. AKINTANDE has a Ph.D. in Computational Statistics. He is a lecturer and researcher in the Computational Statistics Unit, Department of Statistics, University of Ibadan. His research interest falls under algorithmic fairness, responsible AI, machine intelligence systems, statistical learning and ethics with application to SDGs and other socially impactful research.


A Core Team at Climate Change AI – a community of machine learning enthusiasts tackling climate change issues with machine learning for sustainable development.


He has won many international awards and attended several international conferences. For example, he won the Microsoft Ph.D. Research Fellowship in 2021 and have published in many international research outlets. Elsevier awarded two of his research works the most impactful research addressing SDGs in 2022.


Olalekan is open to collaboration and willing to partner with any team of researchers addressing global challenges and is open to Postdoc and JOB opportunities.
