Metal Dodecahedron

Task: Make 2 Identical Dodecahedrons out of 1 Piece of Sheet Metal

My goal was to create inverted dodecahedrons. To achieve that goal, we designed a special piece that could be bent into the proper shape for each side, and that we could arrange in an array on our allotted piece of sheet metal. I calculated the dimensions and shape of this special piece.

I performed the conceptualization and calculations for this project. Through collaboration, my teammate and I worked together to bring that concept to life.
