Anya Santamaria grew up surrounded by entertainment in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is there that she cultivated her love of the arts and theatre (as both an actor and technician), and later her passion for science and technology. These two interests led her to the Entertainment Engineering and Design program at the University of Nevada - Las Vegas, where she currently studies. She is also on the executive board for the Ware House Theatre club at UNLV.
Throughout her life, Anya has been a quick learner, a creative thinker, a kind soul, and a direct communicator. These traits helped her earn the trust and respect of her colleagues - who value her collaboration and reliability - and her tutees who appreciate her ability to teach mathematical concepts in a way that boosts their confidence in class.
Outside of work, Anya loves cats, musicals (but not Cats: the Musical, ironically), playing Dungeons & Dragons, writing stories, hand-drawn animation, singing, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
