Anyang renews contract with side striker Yago

FC Anyang has signed a new contract with Brazilian winger Yago Cesar.

Anyang announced a contract renewal with Yago on the 5th.

Yago, who debuted at Atlético Paranaense in Brazil in 2016, mainly played in Serie B, Brazil's second division. After playing at various clubs including CSA, Guarani, and Ituano, he joined FC Anyang in the 2023 season.

He played in 31 games in K League 2 in the 2023 season, showing outstanding performance by recording 6 goals and 7 assists, leading Anyang's side attack. He showed his skills perfectly throughout the season, and Anyang decided to renew Yago's contract ahead of the 2024 season.

Yago, who signed a new contract with FC Anyang, said, “I am so happy to be able to spend 2024 with Anyang. “Next year’s goal is of course Anyang’s promotion,” he said. “Unfortunately, Anyang did not advance to the first division this year, but I will do my best to help Anyang be promoted to first place next year.”

Meanwhile, FC Anyang will convene on the 18th and begin training for the 2024 season.
