Anxiety-Panic Relief Breathing ("the App") is published by AlgoSoft Technologies Limited ("AlgoSoft", "we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, why it is collected, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and the choices and rights you have over it.
Anxiety-Panic Relief Breathing is a self-care app for guided breathing and reflection. Some of what you record in it — how often you experience panic or anxiety, what triggers it, what symptoms you feel, and what you write in your journal — describes your mental health. We treat that as sensitive information and describe its handling in detail below, in particular in section 3.

Account required — No. The App has no sign-up, no login and no password.
Where your entries live — On your device, in the App’s own storage.
Our own servers — We operate none. We do not host a copy of your data.
Analytics — On by default, sent to Mixpanel, and can be turned off in Settings → Privacy & data → Share usage analytics.
What analytics includes — Usage events and the contents of your sessions, episode logs, journal entries and custom exercises. See section 3.
Sale of data — Never. We do not sell, rent or trade your information.
Advertising — None. The App contains no ads and no advertising trackers.
Payments — Handled by Apple and Google through RevenueCat. We never see your card details.
The App keeps a single record of your data in your device’s app storage. This data stays on your device, is included in your device’s own backups if you have those enabled (iCloud or Google backup, governed by Apple’s and Google’s policies, not ours), and is deleted when you uninstall the App.
This on-device record contains:
Your practice history
Sessions you start and complete: which exercise, its title, the duration, whether you finished it, and the date and time.
Exercises you mark as favourites.
Your episode logs
The intensity you select, the trigger you choose, the symptoms you select, and any free-text notes you write, with the date and time.
Your journal entries
The mood you select and the free text you write in the "body" and "mind" fields, with the date and time.
Your custom exercises
Titles, breathing patterns, cycles, descriptions, benefits, instructions, colours, ambient sound and voice-guide selections.
Your preferences
Display name (optional — you may leave it blank or use any name you like), language, theme, reminder on/off, reminder time and weekdays, streak reminder, ambient sound and volume, voice guide on/off and voice selection, haptics, whether you have rated the App, and your analytics choice.
Your onboarding answers
Age, what you need help with, how often you experience episodes, the symptoms you experience, whether the App was recommended by a professional or found by yourself, and your goals.
Technical items
A flag recording that onboarding is complete.
A randomly generated analytics identifier (for example anon-mfx3k2-a91b4c2d). It is created on your device, is not derived from your name, email, phone number, advertising ID or any device hardware identifier, and cannot be traced back to you by us outside the App.
Your premium status, mirrored from your store subscription.
Analytics is enabled by default and you can switch it off at any time in Settings → Privacy & data → Share usage analytics. When it is off, nothing described in this section is transmitted; the analytics code stops sending and opts out of collection. If the App is built without an analytics token, analytics is inactive regardless of the setting.
While analytics is enabled, we use Mixpanel to understand how the App is used and where it can be improved. The following is sent to Mixpanel.
Named events recording what happens in the App, including: screens viewed and their route path; buttons and controls pressed; exercise sessions started, completed or ended early; episodes logged; journal entries saved; custom exercises created, updated or deleted; favourites toggled; history or all data cleared; individual records deleted; backups exported and restored; premium paywall views; purchases completed and restored; onboarding steps completed and onboarding finished; and settings changed.
Event names are fixed in the App’s source code. They are never built from text you type. Automatic click, rage-click and dead-click capture is switched off.
The App maintains a profile on Mixpanel that is kept in sync with your app data. Please read this carefully, because it goes beyond aggregate usage statistics. The profile includes:
Your display name (sent as the profile name; where you have not set one, "Anonymous user" is sent instead).
Your onboarding answers: age, needs, episode frequency, symptoms, recommendation source and goals.
All of your preferences as listed in section 2, including reminder times and days.
Your premium status.
Aggregate statistics: total and completed sessions, total minutes practised, current and longest streak, number of episodes, number of journal entries, number of custom exercises, number of favourites.
The full contents of your records: your complete list of sessions, your complete episode logs including the free-text notes, your complete journal entries including the free text you wrote, your custom exercises, and your favourites.
In other words, while analytics is enabled, what you write in your journal and in your episode notes is transmitted to and stored by Mixpanel, associated with your display name if you have set one and with the persistent analytics identifier described in section 2. If you would prefer your written entries to remain solely on your device, turn off Share usage analytics in Settings.
Sent with events and stored on the profile: platform (iOS or Android), operating-system version, device brand, manufacturer, model and type, whether the device is physical or a simulator, App version and build number, and your device’s language, region, calendar and time-zone settings.
We do not collect your precise or approximate location, your contacts, your photos, your microphone input, your health-app data, or any advertising identifier.
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, our legal basis for analytics is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), and, insofar as the entries described in section 3.2 constitute health data, your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a)). You give or withhold that consent through the Share usage analytics setting and may withdraw it at any time by switching the setting off; withdrawal does not affect processing that took place beforehand. We use the data to measure feature usage, diagnose problems, and decide what to build and improve. We do not use it for advertising, profiling with legal effects, or automated decision-making.
Anxiety-Panic Relief Breathing offers an optional Premium subscription and a lifetime purchase.
Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never receive, handle or store your payment-card number, billing address or store account credentials.
We use RevenueCat to validate purchase receipts and determine whether your Premium entitlement is active. RevenueCat receives purchase and subscription information, a RevenueCat-generated app user identifier, and device and store metadata necessary to validate a receipt.
"Restore purchases" asks the store, through RevenueCat, whether a prior purchase exists for your store account.
Where GDPR applies, our legal basis for this processing is performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) — you cannot be granted Premium access without it.
Reminders (notifications). If you enable reminders, the App schedules local notifications on your device at the time and on the weekdays you choose. They are generated and delivered entirely by your device. No push token is registered, no notification is sent from a server, and we do not learn whether or when a reminder was delivered. You can revoke notification permission in your device settings at any time.
Voice guide (speech). Spoken breathing cues are produced by your device’s built-in text-to-speech engine. The text spoken is fixed App copy. Processing is performed by your operating system under Apple’s or Google’s terms, not by us.
Ambient sound. Audio files are bundled with the App and played locally. No audio is recorded, and the App does not request microphone access.
PDF reports. The "Export PDF report" feature renders your data into a PDF on your device and writes it to a file. The file is created locally; nothing is uploaded. Where you subsequently send or store that file is your choice, and once shared it is outside our control.
Backup and restore. "Export backup" writes a .json file containing your app data to a location you choose on your device. "Restore" reads a file you select through your device’s document picker. These files are produced and read locally; we neither receive nor store them. A backup file contains your journal entries and episode notes in plain, unencrypted text — treat it as confidential, and be aware that if you store it in a cloud drive, that provider will hold a copy under its own terms.
Rating prompt. The App may ask your operating system to show its standard rating dialog. The review you write, if any, goes to Apple or Google; we receive no personal information from it.
We share information only with the service providers needed to run the App, and only as described above:
Mixpanel, Inc. — receives everything in section 3 while analytics is enabled, for product analytics. Policy: mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy/
RevenueCat, Inc. — receives purchase and entitlement data, app user ID, store and device metadata, for subscription management. Policy: revenuecat.com/privacy/
Apple Inc. / Google LLC — receive payment and store account data (collected by them, not by us), for payment processing and app distribution, under the Apple and Google privacy policies.
These providers process data on our behalf under their respective data processing terms. We do not sell your information, we do not rent or trade it, we do not share it with data brokers, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Under the CCPA/CPRA, we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined.
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, by a valid legal process, or where necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others. If AlgoSoft is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction; you will be notified of any change of controller through the App or this policy before it takes effect.
Our service providers operate in the United States and other countries. If you use the App from the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, or another jurisdiction with data-transfer restrictions, your information may be transferred to and processed in a country whose data protection laws differ from your own. Where such transfers occur, they are made under the safeguards our providers offer, including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where applicable.
On your device: kept until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App. Uninstalling removes the App’s local storage.
Mixpanel: retained under the retention configured for our Mixpanel project. Profile properties are overwritten as your app data changes; events persist until they age out of the configured retention window or are deleted at your request.
RevenueCat: purchase records are retained for as long as necessary to service entitlements and to meet tax, accounting and audit obligations.
Support email: correspondence is retained for as long as needed to resolve your request and for a reasonable period afterwards.
Turn analytics off — Settings → Privacy & data → Share usage analytics. This stops all transmission described in section 3.
Delete individual records — remove a single session, episode or journal entry.
Clear history — remove your practice history.
Clear all data — reset the App’s stored data on your device.
Export a backup — obtain a machine-readable copy of your data (portability).
Edit your profile — change or remove your display name at any time.
Reminders — turn notifications on or off, and revoke the permission in your device settings.
Please note that clearing data inside the App removes it from your device. To have data already transmitted to Mixpanel deleted, contact us as described below.
If you are in the UK or EEA, you have the right to access your personal data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected and to whom it is disclosed, to request deletion, to request correction, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, so no opt-out of sale is required. You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Comparable rights are available to residents of other US states with applicable privacy laws.
Email mubin@algosoftbd.com with your request. Because the App has no accounts, we may be unable to identify your data on our providers’ systems unless you supply your analytics identifier. You can find it by exporting a backup, or by contacting us for help locating it. We will respond within the period required by applicable law (generally one month under GDPR, 45 days under the CCPA). We do not charge a fee unless your request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
Your entries are held in your device’s app storage, protected by your device’s own security — its passcode, biometric lock and platform-level encryption. Keeping your device locked and its operating system up to date is the single most effective protection for this data.
Data in transit to Mixpanel and RevenueCat is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections.
Only public, client-side keys are embedded in the App. It contains no secret API keys.
Backup files are not encrypted. Anyone with access to an exported .json backup can read your journal entries and notes.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and we do not control the security of a device that has been jailbroken, rooted, lost or shared.
Anxiety-Panic Relief Breathing is not directed at children. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country if that is lower but not below 13, to use the App. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Anxiety-Panic Relief Breathing provides relaxation and self-reflection tools. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for professional care. The App does not monitor you, and no one reviews your entries to check on your wellbeing. If you are in crisis or experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number or contact a qualified professional immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App changes or the law requires. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. Where a change materially affects how your information is handled — in particular any expansion of what is collected or who receives it — we will bring it to your attention in the App and, where the law requires consent, ask for your consent before the change applies to you.
