Welcome to the ANVĪKṢĀ (Advanced Nano/Microfluidic and Electrokinetic Systems for Sensing and Hybrid Energy Applications) Lab at the Department of Chemical Engineering & Technology, IIT (BHU) Varanasi.
We are a bunch of curious minds exploring scientific phenomena at the intersection of physics, applied mathematics, and engineering. Our research integrates theoretical modeling, simulations, and experiments to tackle interdisciplinary challenges in modern chemical engineering, with a focus on solving real-world problems and developing sustainable solutions for healthcare and environmental applications.
RESEARCH THEMES
We investigate ion transport and rectification in charged nanopores, exploring diode-like electrokinetic behavior. At the microscale, our work also explores electrohydrodynamic (EHD) phenomena governing complex flow and charge interactions.
We investigate electrohydrodynamic (EHD) and opto-thermal migration and interactions of soft materials and complex fluids to enable rheological characterization, selective separation, and concentration, with a focus on healthcare-related applications.
We study electrohydrodynamic (EHD) instabilities for efficient microscale mixing and develop platforms for separations and single-cell sorting applications.
We design and develop nanofluidic diodes for label-free enhanced biosensing, enabling advanced point-of-care testing (POCT) applications.
