Anusuya Pal (Ph.D.) JSPS Postdoctoral Researcher The University of Tokyo
I am Dr. Anusuya Pal, a dedicated and curiosity-driven researcher in the fields of Soft Condensed Matter and Biophysics. Currently, I am working as a JSPS Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Tokyo, Japan.
I am honored to have been awarded the prestigious Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Postdoctoral Fellowship for the year FY2023-2025. This highly competitive fellowship is considered one of the top fellowships for postdoctoral researchers and provides invaluable support for my research journey. The JSPS Fellowship offers not only a generous stipend but also access to world-class research facilities in Japan. I am excited to contribute to the global academic community through this opportunity. JSPS has reignited my research journey with its freedom, research funds, and Miho's exceptional lab environment (Thanks to my PI, Miho Yanagisawa).
Earlier, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Warwick, UK. With a Ph.D. from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, USA, I focus on understanding emergent patterns, interfacial properties, and collective behavior in (bio)-colloidal and active systems.
My contributions to the field include numerous published articles and successful funding for innovative projects. I am deeply committed to education, mentoring, and outreach, where I foster the growth of students from diverse backgrounds. Through active engagement with the scientific community, including conferences and public events, I passionately bridge the gap between research and society.
