1. PhD: (maximum two positions)
I am open to broad areas of research in solid mechanics (as per mutual interest). My interests vary from work in applied mechanics (plasticity, biomechanics, interfaces, ...) to theoretical mechanics (defects, topology, and geometry, ...). Some specific areas where I am looking for doctoral level students are: (i) Micromechanics of defects and inclusions in slender structures, (ii) Computational plasticity with gradient and boundary effects, (iii) Structural-acoustics (with a focus on musical acoustics).
