About Me
I am presently serving as the Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, RCC Institute of Information Technology, Kolkata. Prior to it, I worked as a Senior Research Engineer in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Jadavpur University, Kolkata in the DIT, MCIT, Government of India Sponsored Project titled “Development of English to India Language Machine Translation System” (EILMT) from 2009 to 2014. The aim of the project was to design, develop and deploy Machine Translation systems from English to Indian languages in tourism and healthcare domains. I completed my PhD as well as ME from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Jadavpur University, Kolkata. My research interests include Natural Language Processing, Event and Temporal Expression Recognition, Event and Time Relation Identification, Machine Learning, Rule Base Machine Translation, Sentiment Analysis, Event Tracking and Information Retrieval.
