About Me
I am presently serving as an Assistant Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, RCC Institute of Information Technology, Kolkata. I also carried out the responsibility of Head of the same department from 2023 to 2025. Before that, I worked as a Senior Research Engineer in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, in the DIT, MCIT, Government of India-sponsored project titled “Development of English to Indian Language Machine Translation System” (EILMT) from 2009 to 2014. The project aimed to design, develop, and deploy Machine Translation systems from English to Indian languages in tourism and healthcare domains. I completed my PhD as well as ME from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Jadavpur University, Kolkata. My research interests include Natural Language Processing, Event and Temporal Expression Recognition, Event and Time Relation Identification, Machine Learning, Rule-Based Machine Translation, Sentiment Analysis, Event Tracking, and Information Retrieval.
